Class Information - 

This class covers: Instructive narratives from Panchatantra, the Puranas, Hitopadesha, Jain scriptures etc. to teach them some practical wisdom and Hindu etiquette. Use the game ‘Snakes and Ladders’. Learn the general Shlokas used in the Temple Liturgy.

Namaste parents,

This week in class, we rehearsed all of the shlokas without looking at the book as per what we will do on Annual Day. Next we rehearsed the scripts for a final time in preparation for Annual Day. Finally, the kids bought some treats so they handed them out, and we played a game of hangman.


Reminders:

There is no class next week, so come for Annual Day at 3-6. Please make sure you bring the script papers for the skits on stage.


Homework:

Practice the slokas and the script papers for next week.


Extra:

Please wear something resembling your character as well as Indian clothes next week. We will send out other messages regarding Annual Day, so please check those.

This week in class, we started off with running through all the shlokas at the end of the book the way that we will do them at Annual Day. Next, we spent the rest of class running through the skits and practicing the actions that they will do on stage 


Reminders,

Annual Day is May 21st. Please do not forget to bring your script for next class, as well as your book for the prayers. Please make sure to bring your costumes and anything else you have made at home to next class as we will try and do a full run through as to what we will do on the 21st.

This week in class, we started off with practicing the shlokas at the end of the book in preparation for Annual Day. Next, we made little crafts for the students' costumes. Anything they did not finish in class can be finished at home.

This week in class, we started off with practicing the shlokas at the end of the book in preparation for Annual Day. Next, we read the remaining four stories in our book and learned to keep our ears under control, to learn from every possible place and person, to not hoard too much, and that Bhagwan created the universe and can take it back. Finally, we rehearsed our scripts and acted them out.

Next we read some stories and learned that we should keep our eyes and tongue under control and to think about the consequences of our actions before acting. Afterwards, we rehearsed our scripts and even started acting them out. Finally, we ended class with Dharma related hangman.

Namaste parents,


Today we started class off with prayers. Then we read some stories and learned about the importance of Guru Water and how we should use water wisely, and about Guru Earth and how our Atma stays the same even through our bodies change. Towards the end of class we started preparing for our Annual Day skit by assigning parts to the students and rehearsing the skits.


Reminder:

Annual Day is on May 21st from 3 to 6 p.m. Also, remember to bring the scripts every class. Please don't lose it.


Homework:

Rehearse the scripts given in class and come prepared for the next class.

Today in class, we started off with prayers. Then we read some stories and learned that we should always thank Bhagwan for our success, and that guru earth teaches us that we should be forgiving and patient. We ended class with dharma related hangman.

Then we read some stories and learned that we should think of the consequences of our actions before doing anything, using our common sense, to not discriminate against anyone, and that the brightest light is the light of knowledge. We ended class with dharma related hangman.

This week in class, we started off with prayers. Then we read stories and learned that we should preach what we teach to others, to say sorry when we are at fault, and to always forgive others. We ended class with dharma related hangman.

This week in class, we had a meditation session, where we learned a story, and learned the importance of meditation and how to meditate properly.

Practice the prayer for forgiveness, the prayer before eating, and the prayer after taking bath on page 107-109.

Thank you all for coming to parent-teacher conferences last Sunday! We started class with some slokahs. After, we read stories and learned how no matter how small or weak someone may appear, they can always help. We also learned the importance of being kind to others. We ended class with dharma related hangman.

We started class with some slokahs. After, we read stories and learned that we should always speak the truth, how we should always help other people, how unity is strength, and how we all have good and useful qualities. We ended class with dharma related hangman.

We started class of with some slokahs. After we read some stories and learned the importance of not loosing your temper and respecting everyone because Bhagwan is in everyone and everything. We also learned the importance of "namaste". Finally we ended class with hangman using dharma related words.

Namaste parents!

We started class with stories this class because the Gita Jayanti presentation tool a little longer than expected. we learned about how you can't earn knowledge by just praying to Bhagwan, and that you have to put in effort and study to gain that wisdom. We also learned that we should always eat a good breakfast everyday in the morning, because eating can help us focus better. Afterward, we chanted the morning prayers and the night prayer on page 105. Finally, we ended class yet again with dharma related words for hangman.

We started off this weeks class by chanting some slokahs. Afterwards we looked at a new slokah; remind your kids to practice them throughout the week! Next, we listened to some new stories. We learned about how Bhagvan helps those who work hard and try their best, how our body is very valuable, and how parents are as important as Bhagvan! Finally, we ended class with a fun game of Hangman with Dharma related words!

We started off this weeks class by chanting some slokahs. Afterwards we looked at a new slokah; remind your kids to practice them throughout the week! Next, we listened to some new stories. We learned about how Bhagvan loves us like his own children, how he can have many forms, and how Bhagvan resides in everything no matter its appearance! Finally, we ended class with a fun game of Hangman with Dharma related words!

We started off this weeks class by reviewing a slokah. We then began learning our second slokah of the year. Remind your children to practice them throughout the week! Next, we listened to some stories. We learned about the importance of not being arrogant and we understood that true devotion towards Bhagwan come from the  heart! Finally, we ended class with a fun game of Hangman.

Today we started off our class by doing the Gayatri mantra. Make sure your child learns the Gayatri Mantra because we will start our next class with the Mantra as well. Next we covered stories about how Bhagvan does not care if you are poor or rich as long as you worship Bhagvan with a pure heart. We also learned Bhagvan is present everywhere. We once again ended class with hangman!
