October 11

Today we focused on the 3 different ways to say You in Hindi. Aap, Tum and Tu. We also had the kids write a question down using one of these ways, the kids chose a topic such as Colors or Body Parts then they constructed a sentence on that topic. We also added 2 new words to our vocab list मेहमान (Guest) and त्योहार (Festival). Homework is to write a sentence using EACH vocab word (We have 7 total, look in the previous week to see the other 5 vocab words we learnt) and then to write a question to ask your parent using Aap and write the answer down in Hindi. 

October 4

We spent a great amount of time on speaking Hindi, correcting and reviewing proper vocabulary and sentence structure as we went along. We also reviewed the alphabet one more time, as well as discussing Matras. Additionally, 5 vocabulary words were introduced this week, and the kids wrote them down in their notebooks, looking to spend some time reviewing at home. 

5 vocab words for this week are: सफलता (safalta) translates to success, achievement, प्रयास (Prayas) translates to effort, attempt, विश्वास (Vishwas) means trust, faith, belief, निर्णय (Nirnay) means decision, judgment, or verdict, अनुभव (Anubhav) means experience, perception, 

Lastly, the homework assigned from this week, due for next Sunday, is to read the story on page 31-32 from their yellow book, and to review Matras and Swars.
