Class & Homework-

May 12

As all good things in life have to come to an end, so did another great school year for Hindi Level A1. Thanks to all the parents for bringing your child to HATS Hindi Level A1 class. Its been a pleasure to spend time with your child and we hope you enjoyed the class presentation as much as we did teaching your child. Learning the alphabets to matras to names of face and body parts, fruits, flowers, animals and colors to poems; we had much to learn and share. Special thanks to Aadi and Rani - the two teen volunteers who spend time with the kids, bring them up to speed, correcting tests and handing out candy rewards, including root beer floats and last but not the least, consistently doing the weekly class updates,

Again, thank you so much for sharing your kids for the hour. We had a great year and hope your child takes all the learnings into the next year.

We look forward to seeing you again at HATS.

With warmest regards and best wishes for a great summer,

April 21

Today in class we took the much anticipated test to assess the kids skill level of knowing Hindi - the letters and their pronunciations, some basic vocabulary words like face-n-body parts, colors, fruits, vegetables and flowers. We also did an oral round of knowing the numbers from 1-10. Kids that are a bit older and have been regular to class did well. Younger kids will need to spend some more time with the letters and matras and understanding how they conjugate to form simple everyday used words. Summer is a great time to brush up on everyday words as they get a break from School work.

The next few Sundays we will be focusing on conversation in Hindi. We lost the opportunity to perform on stage, because of the snow days. The kids however would like to showcase to their parents what they have been learning in class. So on Sunday - May 12th the Hindi Level A1 class would like to do a short presentation in class followed by ice-cream and root beer floats to end a great year. Parents are encouraged to attend.

This is crucial for their learning.
