It was a good class after a long break...most of the students now know barakhadi of the letters in Marathi...this helped us today to focus on writing test today in which kids did very well...kids wrote more than 25 words today in the class...please review and repeat those with them and keep focusing on Barakhadi reading and writing for the letters in Marathi...from next week onwards we will focus on constructing and writing simple sentences and then on building small stories (writing)...some of the words covered in today’s class are in the attached picture...

Today we covered things around us and and animals both in English and Marathi...please practice these with your kids and also practice reading simple Marathi words to improve Marathi reading skills and Vocabulary.... Also shared some of the old assignments for kids to complete during the Thanksgiving break...

November 4

Today we talked about Diwali. We also focused on listening skills and comprehending or translating it from Marathi to English. We talked about the different days of Diwali, when it starts, and what each day‘s pooja is. Overall, it was a productive and fun day.

September 16

Material covered in class:

  • Introductions (students, teen volunteers & teachers)

  • Class prayer (Saraswati Vandana - Ya kundendu tushar har dhawala)

  • Most of the students in this class have been learning Marathi for 2+ years and have basic reading and writing skills

  • The focus for this year will be on conversing in Marathi

  • Ended class with Ganapati chi Aarti
