Extended Blind Contour

My artwork shows what my imagination looked like as a kid. I've always loved elephants, theres a lot of bright colors dripping all over the paper with a large elephant that has dripping, colorful, long hair. The elephant was included because elephants are my favorite animal. The setting of my art is out in the ocean with islands and mythical creatures. How I began to create my art was by drawing my hands without looking and drawing my face looking in a mirror but, without looking at the paper all while using markers. I then proceeded to add color and use my imagination and creativity to make my hand and face drawings into something unique. I made sure to add not to much brown so that it wasn't the center of attention so to make sure of that I then added more bright colors to make it balanced. I did make some mistakes but I fixed those up with more color and creativity. My favorite part about my art is the two people who are back to back with long dripping, colorful, flowing dresses. And the dripping elephant of course! This project was actually really challenging in the beginning because we had to draw without looking so we had no clue what it looked like. My strength for this project is probably my ability to turn scribbles into a work of art, but I do need to work on having a more solid background maybe next time.
