For this project we had a prompt of what to draw. For this project I drew a mug (with water), a hand gesture of I love you, a hallway in my house, and a part of my face and neck. The materials I used were graphite and charcoal. My projects slowly evolved because at first everything was light and then I went back and added charcoal to add more value to my work. I wished I would've spent more time on my hand drawing because it is very light and has not a lot of value.

My favorite part about this project is the value in some of my drawings (charcoal). But also I love how accurate my perspective drawing of a hallway was. It was also the project that took me the longest to draw because I had to make sure everything was lined up. I'm also proud of the skills that I remembered from foundations and how they slowly came back to me during the process of making these projects. This helped me further improve my project because I remembered how value is important and placement of your subject is important.

I wish I would've improved on my value because it would've made my project more appealing. I also wished I added more value to my hand drawing so it was more visible. I also would've used more of a variety of graphite next time to improve my artwork even more. My hand drawing doesn't have shadows on it in the corners that is just the shading when I tried to create less white space. Overall, this project was challenging but helped me learn and improve my skills.
