Beautiful Oops

For the beautiful oops drawing I put a lot of effort, and color, into this artwork using colored pencils and pastels. It started out as a spot of ink which I had to create into a beautiful creation. As I started to draw I had no idea what I was drawing, but eventually the shapes began to look like trees and animals so thats what they became. This drawing takes place in the forest with a shy, but creative, alligator which kind of represents me now that I think about it. The alligator is painting with her caterpillar friend creating a one of a kind painting on the ground with wind blowing by and fish jumping in and out of a pond. In a way this reminds me of the place I go when i'm concentrating on something. Like drawing, or doing homework. I go to this quiet world and focus on one thing, usually I want to achieve a goal. Overall my favorite part about this artwork is its bright colors and its ability to make my imagination go wild. I added a lot of color to my artwork but that is just something I love about it. The more color I added to one side, the more I added to the other to keep it balanced.

This is my second beautiful oops! As I went along coloring with my colored pencils I made sure to balance out the colors. And as I went along I had a theme of nature and beauty in my drawing. There is an island with roses and another island with death and together they created the poor dead flower in the water. The mermaid has beautiful, bright colors around her while she destroys all of the evilness. This has to do with you surrounding yourself with bright colors and keeping the darkness and negativity out of your life. My favorite part about this project is the flower because as soon as I saw the paper blank with the ink splatters the first thing that came to me was that I could turn that into a flower! I need to work on using a different material because the colored pencils, when I use them, the colors aren't solid enough.
