This particular drawing was a drawing where you have to set candy on a piece of paper and draw what you see, but it is drawn on a large piece of paper which makes it a little more difficult. The materials that were used in this drawing were charcoal (white and black), and ink. In order to draw the shadows of the candy I used a method called cross hatching and then I blended charcoal throughout the marks. I also just blended charcoal to make the other shadows. The most difficult part of this drawing was trying to get a full range of value, but I eventually accomplished that. My favorite part of this drawing is how realistic the Lindt chocolate is and how detailed the candies are. I spent a lot of time on this drawing and I am super proud of how I managed to get a full range of value. From looking at this work I need to work on my background design, but I have a very strong composition.
