Telly Mikel

Telly was an all-around athlete that was a 3-Sport letter winner his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He earned multiple All-Conference selections in both football and basketball and was an All-State Football Selection in 1992. Telly helped lead the Bulldogs football team to their first winning season and first ever playoff win in MHS history as a junior. They were able to top those marks his senior season by guiding the Bulldogs their first ever undefeated regular season (8-0) in school history. Telly was voted MVP in basketball his senior year, was an Academic All-Stater, and was voted as the MHS Most Valuable Athlete in 1993. When he graduated, Telly was the MHS all-time leader in total points and total field goals and is still in the MHS Top Ten in 9 different statistical categories. In track and field, Telly helped lead the Bulldogs to the 1993 State Track & Field Championship where he was a part of the 4th place 4x100 team and place 4th in the 110-meter hurdles. Telly went on to play basketball at Dakota State University and later at Southern Oregon University.
