Bob Miller

You could always hear the voice of Bob Miller when Madison was competing in cross-country from 1967 to 1992, and it paid off with a conference championship for Madison and four state individual champions. "Bob's voice stood out when we were running races," said Ed Roling, a 1983 Madison graduate who was one of those four state champions. "That really encouraged us along the routes." Larry Beesley, Adam Ericsson and Heith Janke were Miller's other state champions. Until his teaching and coaching retirement in 1992, Miller was also Madison's distance running coach in track.
