John Collignon

At Madison High School, John lettered in football, wrestling, and track & field. John started his coaching career at Lennox High School, before returning to MHS in 1977. At Madison, John was the Head Wrestling Coach for sixteen years while compiling a 132-81 dual record, ten years as Head Cross Country Coach, and ten years each as Assistant Track and Field and Football Coach. He coached 28 individual state place winners, three state champions, and three runners up in wrestling, along with a 1990 team that went 17-0 in dual competition. In cross country he coached three boys and one girls state championships to go along with six runner-up teams and three combined trophies. He also had 34 individual place winners and 5 individual state champions in CC. While in High School at Madison High School John was an All-State Football player in 1964.
