Roger Olson

Roger participated in football, basketball, and track and field. He lettered four years in football, 4 years in track and field and two years in basketball. Roger amazingly started both ways in football all four years. He ran sprints and relays as well as throwing the shot and discus in track and field. He was on State Champion mile relay team in 1960 and 1961 and the State Champion medley relay team in 1961. Also placing second in the medley relay at the state meet in 1960. Roger and his teammates set the South Dakota all-time record in the mile relay and he set school records in the 440, 880, mile and medley relays.
