DeLon Mork

Dairy Queen and the Mork family have become synonymous with Bulldog Athletics over the last several decades. It all started when DeWayne and Joanne Mork bought and opened the Dairy Queen of Madison in March of 1964. DeWayne and Joanne were very generous in supporting MHS and Delon has continued to be a very generous supporter. Delon and Dairy Queen were Platinum donors for the original drive to build the High School Gym, and he continues to be an “Anchor Sponsor” for the gymnasium advertising. There are also the countless camps that Delon and DQ has generously supported/sponsored for numerous teams and individuals throughout the years. These are just the things he does for the school – Delon is also extremely active in the Madison community. Delon’s “Miracle Treat Day” event has made local, state, and national news over the last 10 years. Several years ago, Delon and DQ donated the monies necessary to put lighting at all of the baseball and softball fields at Baughman Park. Delon is a member of the Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Lake Area Improvement Corporation Board (LAIC) and sits on the board of directors for the South Dakota Retailers Association of which he is a past president.
