Joyce Farrell

Joyce enjoyed many great years walking the halls of MHS! She started in Madison in 1970 and during the course of her 35 years @ MHS, Joyce was the Head Coach of Girls Track and Field, Gymnastics, Girls Golf, and Volleyball! Her volleyball teams were always competitive winning numerous Big 8 Conference championships and in 1995 her team went to the State Tournament seeded 8th and came home with the Championship trophy and she added a third place one year as well. Her golf years were also very successful, in that Joyce had seven top six places including runner-up honors in ’79 and ’89. She coached numerous individuals that placed in the top 10 at the State Tournament, as well as many young ladies that went onto compete in College. In 2018, Joyce entered the SD High School Volleyball Association's Hall of Fame.
