1991 Wrestling Team

Against the likes of Watertown, Yankton, Mitchell, Huron, and so on, these men went unbeaten during the 1990-91 dual season. This team was coached by Hall of Famer, John Collignon and he was assisted by Bud Postma and Chris Waba. There were some close calls throughout the year, but when the dust settled, the Dogs went a perfect 17-0 on the season and were 1st place in each tournament leading up to Regions. The amazing thing about this group was their consistency; 12 of the 13 won at least 20 matches and the other one, won 30 matches. This team finished in 5th place at State, placing seven wrestlers. Members of that team were; James Carder, Chad Cole, Aaron Doblar, Chris Downs, Corey Gerry, Mike Greene, Cam Havlik, Jason Havlik, Tom Jacobs, Chris Jerlow, Mike Johnson, Paul Johnson, Rod Klingbile, Randy Minnaert, Nathan Moore, Chad Ostrem, Bill Ouverson, Carl Stearns, Richard Stearns, Aric Stien, Dan Ziebarth, & Travis Zingmark. Managers were Susan ‘Collignon’ Hodgen, Deidra ‘Pearson’ Williams, and Michelle ‘Engel’ Ziebarth
