Lars Johnson

I believe you can throw out the old adage ‘Dumb Jock’ when it comes to Lars. National Merit Scholar, Regents Scholar, Harvard Law School and oh by the way he was a three year, three-sport varsity athlete for the Bulldogs and a three year starter for the Post 25 American Legion baseball team. He was voted team captain for three sports (football, basketball, & baseball) and was the #1 flight tennis player his senior year. Let’s start with football, he was a two year starter, was an all-state and all-conference defensive end while helping his team reach the state semifinals and to a 3 year record of 22-8. On the court, Lars was also a two year starter, all-conference forward and was instrumental in bringing the Bulldogs back to the State Tournament and placing 3rd and then to top it off, he helped lead his team to two state baseball tournaments including a semifinal finish his senior year. After high school, Lars went onto Augustana College as well as Harvard Law School. Lars was/is truly one of Madison’s brightest and biggest stars.
