Pete Strewe

Pete was one of Madison’s truly great All-Around athletes. He played and lettered in football, basketball, and track and field. Pete and his teammates played in 3 State Basketball tournaments, while placing 2nd in 1944 and winning the State Championship in 1945. Pete was also named to the States All-Tournament team. After graduation Pete played professional baseball. Later Pete taught and coached at Madison Junior High School. He coached Jr. High football, and was an assistant in basketball and track and field.
