SAFE, HAPPY, LEARNING, RESPECTFUL
We had our trip to theÂ
🔥🚒FIRE STATION!🚒🧯
Getting to ride the bus to the station was one of the most exciting parts! we love a bus ride..... and even more so.... a double decker!!!
"We are higher up than the trees!"
When we arrived, we met some of the amazing firefighters who gave us a we talk on what the fire crew do.Â
We met Phil, Louise and Stephen. They kindly told us all about the fire station and then took us on our tours.....
We had a very good model in Ronnie and we were shown how all the different pieces of equipment keep the firefighters safe when they are tackling a fire!
Next, we split up into smaller groups, and Phil, Louise and Stephen took us round different parts of the fire station to see a variety of things... first up, the rescue boat and the support vehicle!
We learnt all about some amazing tools, heavy equipment, safety equipment and soooooo much more!Â
Now for the part we had all been waiting for... having a shot of the hose! We had to try and hit the cone... look at those smiles! 😃
We were all chuffed that we got to sit in the fire engine with the blue emergency lights flashing! Some of us got to be 'drivers' and some of us got to sit in the 'boss seat', where Swift's dad takes his place!
It was so exciting to see the fire pole, Dave the fireman came and gave us a demonstration! This is the fastest way for the firefighters to get down to the fire engines in an emergency!
Here is a couple of carousels with some more photos of our exploring around the fire station.........
Look at how happy we all are in our big team photo.Â
We all had a great time at the fire station. A big thank you all our mummies and grandparents that came along to support us and a HUGE thank you to Kevin and the Inverness Fire Crew for hosting us.Â
Time to go back to nursery for our lunch!
