SAFE, HAPPY, LEARNING, RESPECTFUL
Hockey session with Siobhan and Sandra
We were so lucky to have Siobhan (Emily's mum) and her friend Sandra to come in and show us some proper hockey skills. Here are photos of the session. It was a great way to end our block of Unihoc.
Spring Art
This week we have been thinking about the signs of Spring. We made a list of all the things we could think of to do with Spring and watched a story. Here are some pictures of our creative skills using lots of different materials.
Play in P3
The boys in P3 have been very busy creating their own dinosaur world in the morning. They just love building. chatting and making stories.
Handwashing
This week we were thinking about the importance of handwashing as part of our healthy choices topic. We did an experiment to investigate the power of soap!
January Blog
We have been thinking about seasons as part of our Science topic. We looked at trees through the seasons, drew our own trees and then painted them using bubble wrap.
P3 were thinking about problem solving this week. We met a new monster as part of our health and wellbeing programme and thought about how to try and solve things ourselves, before asking for help. This links to our meta skill of using our initiative.Â
We had our own tangram puzzles to solve as a pair and we had to work together to solve the puzzle using our communicating and collaborating skills.
This week for maths we were thinking about budgeting!
We discussed what it meant to have a budget and looked through some catalogues to choose presents for our family and friends. We had to make sure we stuck to our budget, which was a hard job as some of the gifts were very expensive!
We had great fun this afternoon decorating biscuits to take home! Lots of creative ideas with icing pens.
