SAFE, HAPPY, LEARNING, RESPECTFUL
Today we enjoyed some Easter craft. We painted boiled eggs then carefully decorated and constructed an Easter basket to hold our eggs. There was a few egg disasters but most have made it into the baskets un-cracked!
The past two weeks Primary 5 have been presenting their class talks on an animal of their choice. They have done a fantastic job and should be very proud of themselves! Super work P5!
Today Primary 5 began looking at what is meant by Fairtrade.
We discovered it means giving farmers a 'fair price' for the goods they produce. This ensures the farmers, farm workers and their families can have a better way of life.
Afterwards, we mapped the different Fairtrade products we learned about and the countries they grow in. This also helped us learn more about the world's seven continents and the countries in them!
P5 have kicked off Term 3 by working super hard on their times tables, both in school and at home!
They have been using lots of methods to learn their tables including board games, bingo, pairs, loop cards, times table mind maps, TTRockstars and good old fashioned counting!
They are continuing to practice and will begin using their tables to help them with division soon!
Primary 5 are back and working hard as ever! This week they created some termly targets for themselves. Everyone created 3 targets - reading, writing and maths.
Afterwards, they put them up onto their target wall!
