SAFE, HAPPY, LEARNING, RESPECTFUL
This week, we had our second visit from the wonderful Mrs Kish from Inverness Royal Academy. We continued developing our map reading skills and used a map of Dundee city centre to answer quiz questions about various grid references, symbols and landmarks. We were even able to create questions of our own and challenge our classmates to answer them. Mrs Kish will be returning to visit us again in the New Year for more geography related transition activities!
In PE, we have been developing our fitness through a range of different activities. We have also been learning about how our heart rate is affected by exercise and even used our ‘Training Zone’ to track how hard we have been working. Have a look at some of our pictures to see us in action!
P7G had a very enjoyable visit to the UHU Newton Rooms on Thursday for a robotics and mathematics workshop. We were able to engage with a range of different activities that helped us learn more about perimeter, circumference, programming, units of measure, shape and rotation.
A special thank you from us all to Miss Shepherd and the parent helpers for their support during our day. Have a look at the pictures of some of our budding scientists, engineers and mathematicians!
P7G Termly Overview
We have had a very positive start to term two!
The pupils are already excited to be getting creative with their writing, extending their knowledge of addition strategies in maths and producing beautiful chalk pastel planets in art. Please click on our termly overview for important diary dates and to see what we are going to be learning about this term.
