SAFE, HAPPY, LEARNING, RESPECTFUL
Wednesday was a fantastic day for us. We were very excited to climb onboard a bus for our class trip to the UHI. We had completed some pre work and were excited to work with the robots and try to programme them ourselves. The visit really didn't disappoint; we measured, calculated, analysed, discussed, problem solved and worked as a team. We managed to get our robots to travel around our own shape.
By the end of the day we were all super tired but it was a brilliant day.
The staff at UHI even commented on what a great class we were! Super proud of you P5/6 Holmies!!
Well I feel the last two weeks have gone so fast. The children have enjoyed writing their immortality potions, creating Halloween characters and learning some basketball skills. As well as continuing to develop our reading, spelling and mathematics!!Â
Please find attached our termly organiser, detailing all the things we will cover this term. This week, saw us step into an unknown portal in our classroom and challenge ourselves not to take a sweet. Next week, we begin the process of learning the model text, creating the story map and developing our writing tools to be able to write our own portal story. Watch this space!!
