SAFE, HAPPY, LEARNING, RESPECTFUL
Primary 2 had a fantastic time with Miss Munro on Thursday in science. We have been learning about the different parts of a plant and what plants need to grow and stay healthy.
We had a great time planting our own Sunflower Seeds. We know that we have to keep them in a nice sunny spot and make sure they are watered every day.
We are going to look after them in class for 2-3 weeks and once our seeds have all germinated and sprouted we can take them home.
We were really interested to learn about the lifecycle of a sunflower. We now know that when a sunflower dies the seed fall out from the middle of the sunflower head and land back in the soil. This means that brand new sunflowers will start to grow from the seeds!
We will keep you updated on the progress of our sunflowers!

The Rainbow Fish
P2 have been reading The Rainbow Fish this week. We discussed the theme of friendship through the story and created our very own Rainbow Fish. We explored mixing primary and secondary colours to make various shades of blue, red, yellow, green, purple and orange. We had lots of fun mixing paint. They are all fantastic!
