SAFE, HAPPY, LEARNING, RESPECTFUL
One of the highlights of this term was our sponsored cycle that was undertaken by our P3-7 classes to raise money for MFR Cash for Kids! Everyone in 7G contributed extremely well and helped the school to cycle a total distance of 282.84 km. Our House captains also played a big role in organising other classes, recording distances and promoting safety during this event – well done!
We have also been busy finishing off our work on place value and decimals, studying and writing Japanese Haikus, finishing our PE work on Unihoc and creating our beautiful Cherry Blossom trees in Art. Can anyone remember what these trees symbolise to the Japanese people?
Thank you all for your continued support this term and I hope you have an excellent holiday.
This week in both P7 classes, we have been doing some map work to learn more about cities and regions of Japan and using compass points to describe locations on a map. We have also enjoyed learning about the similarities and differences between each region’s landscapes! We then took some time to compare these regions to Scotland.
This week we learned about the reading skill of inference and used a variety of different props to see what we could infer about characters based on their possessions. Have a look at the photo of us having fun with our learning! We have also been very busy preparing for our house captain speeches and the results will be announced next Friday at assembly!
