SAFE, HAPPY, LEARNING, RESPECTFUL
Transition visits have begun for our biggest Holmies who will be heading off to Primary one in August...... We love our visits over to the A block to familiarize ourselves with Primary 1.
Spring has sprung......
We've been playing with oranges and limes in nursery and cutting them open. We found the seeds! This gave us an idea to do some planting . . .
Now for some vegetables too. We chose our seeds and have been planting our own vegetables for the summer.
Off to the poly tunnel for more planting.
all 4 puppets continue to be part of our play.

Now the weather is beginning to become sunnier (and dare we say it a tad warmer!) We have been taking even more opportunities to get outside.
Here we are doing our 'Reach for the Stars' dance for our Stars of the Week.
What a lovely day for a nice sunny boogie!
On Friday the 21st March of we celebrated World Downs Syndrome Day by 'Rocking Odd Socks'.
We had good conversations about how each one of us are different in our own special way, and we all had a really good understanding of this. Here are all of us with our Odd Socks! See who you can spot....
Woop woop... It's the sound of the police! We have sparked in interest in learning about the emergency services so have started with some role play as police officers and fire fighters! Nursery is a safe place to be with these guys around!
Creating our fire box for all our important equipment.
Crime fighting with the megaphone!
We really look the part now!
We have been learning about all the parts of the uniform, our favourites being the walkie talkies and hats!
Stop in the name of the law!
Lovely sandy fun! We have been exploring the different textures of the sand, both when it is wet and when it is dry. We have also explored the flour and compared the two!
