Here you can see our heavily armed P2/3 group ready for battle with their handmade shields and swords following our research into armour and weaponry!!
Behind the scenes of the construction process!!🏰🛡️⚔️
In P2/3 this term we have been learning all about castles. We have explored the parts that make up a castle, the rooms inside and why castles were used. We have looked at the defences within a castle to stop enemies attacks and created our own junk model castles!
Primary 2/3 have been learning about different celebrations and the reasons people celebrate on these occasions. We discussed the history of Halloween and Bonfire Night and our own traditions. We created amazing firework oil pastel pictures and used pumpkins to make a volcano experiment.
As part of our topic we have been learning all about life in the 1970s. We have started looking at fashion, music and art.
We explored the work of pop artist Roy Lichtenstein to inspire our own pieces of pop art.
