Have a look at the monsters we designed in art. These monsters will be our inspiration for writing our hot tasks when we create a fictional information text similar to the one we are studying at the moment about the 'Swamp Monster'.
Last session of the year with Mr Cummins, Maths teacher from the IRA. We had 4 stations to complete in teams of four.
Station 1: Basic Facts
Station 2: Timing different activities
Station 3: Measuring different things
Station 4: Building the tallest tower and measuring it

We are coming to the end of our Gymnastics block of learning. This week we brought together the skills we have been learning (balancing, jumps and rolls) and performed these on the boxes and the floor.
Using the balancing technique we learnt previously, we worked with a partner to complete some partner balances. We were also learning how to 'catspring and vault'.
Week 2 of Bikeability training!
In PE this week we were working on the technique for balancing. We were aiming to:
Posture: Keep your body upright.
Legs: Turn your legs slightly out or keep them parallel.
Head: Look straight ahead at a point on the other side of the room to keep your chin up and head straight.
We then combined a balance and a jump from last week on the boxes.
The other area in PE that we are focusing on is Gymnastics. Today we were learning how to correctly demonstrate different types of jumps. We did this on the benches and then on the boxes. Here are some action shots from our lesson.
Term 3 Termly Organiser
This term in PE one of the areas we will focus on is Basketball. We have been learning the correct techniques for dribbling a ball while moving around the court.
Our topic this term is the Modern Wonders of the World. This week we are learning about the Great Wall of China. Here is some of our fab art work.
P7 Christmas Party fun!
Term 2 Termly Organiser
P7 had a busy period over Halloween and managed to incorporate this festival into lots of different curriculum areas. We played some Halloween maths games working on our basic facts. We did some paint blending and silhouette pictures in art. We went outside and did a Halloween scavenger hunt learning all about the history of Halloween.
What a fantastic day P7 had at the STEM Hub. They were learning all about the digestion system, the lymphatic system and the respiratory system. They had a great learning experience with lots of hands on activities that mirrored lots of jobs in the health science industry.
P7 are an extremely creative and artistic class. So far we have looked at colour blending, line drawings, silhouette art and work inspired by some famous artists such as Pablo Picasso and Kehinde Wiley.
In PE we've been upskilling our technique and game play in uni-hoc and badminton. We have also been trying to improve our fitness by completing 12 stations which focus on stamina, strength and flexibility exercises.
