SAFE, HAPPY, LEARNING, RESPECTFUL
We have enjoyed mixing up 'potions', writing out spells, creating bats, building magic wands and so much more in our witches corner.
We also have so much fun exploring our pumpkins, showing how careful we can be using the knives, scooping out the insides and describing how they smell and feel.
... and pumpkin carving🎃
The children used lots of descriptive language while playing with and cutting the pumpkins. 'yucky' 'smell funny' 'slime' ' hard' 'soft' 'gooey' 'squishy'....
Potion Making.....
We used some bicarbonate of soda, vinegar, lemon juice and food colouring to create 'potions'. The children explored the chemical reactions of bubbling up and over the pots and being creative with the colours.....
Science is so much fun!!
Construction... inside and outside!
Finally, we have been giving our sensory path a wee makeover after returning from the holidays, as it had become a little overgrown and tired with the children using it so much! We got to work helping Mrs Christie dig it out and tidy it up.
