SAFE, HAPPY, LEARNING, RESPECTFUL
Term 4 is fast passing us by. We have enjoyed a number of learning tasks this term. The children are working to research two countries to share with the class later in the term. This is somthing the chidlren have really engaged in.
We are really looking forward to our school trips, watch out for the letters in the school bags.
Today we took advantage of the good weather to take our math learning outside. We hunted for treasure and then showed our knowledge of maths strategies to answer the questions. We all enjoyed the challenge.
P4 Termly plans for term 4
I can not believe it is the last term of the 24/25 academic year already. It has been a very busy start already.
The term looks both exciting and exhausting in one. However, we will have lots of fun and adventures with all the activities planned.
Watch out for the letters coming out asking for parent helpers.
Term 3
Happy New year - 2025 has come around so quick.
The Children have been enjoying playing in the snow this week. Thursday saw us showing off our creations. The boys enjoyed creating a slide, they tried to keep it within health and safety rules!
It has been great to be back to routine with our learning. We have started by looking over the maths strategies we tried in December. The children have shown great progress on their addition and subtraction.
We have also decided on our topic for the term, we are going to learn about the Romans.
P4 have had a fantastic week taking part in the 2024 Mrs Mackenzie's Reindeer games.
We have worked as a team in a quiz, a winter wonderland creative challenge, designed a santa zip wire and danced away at our year group party. This is alongside creating Christmas cards for our loved ones and calendars to start 2025!
We have enjoyed the final week of term in style.
We have been busy this term with lots of exciting things.
Friday 15th November we enjoyed some amazing games led by the P6 and P7 fundrasising group to support Children in Need.
We are working excitedly on our Christmas show performance to ensure we have fun and laughter.
All of this alongside our learning which has included the Scottish National Assessments, writing a creative story about a traveller and finding out about what life was like in the 1990's.
