SAFE, HAPPY, LEARNING, RESPECTFUL
Although as we were chatting we found out that none of the puppets had a name, we thought this was a bit sad as we all have names, so, there was only one thing to do.........
we jotted a few ideas (Rory, Niko and Gaga being amongst them!)
then used the little teddies to vote, placing them next to the name we liked the best.
after counting the teddies, we had a favourite.........
and here we have an ecstatic Bobby, who is so happy to have a name!
next we have "the girl", who spent the morning being pampered before finding out what her name is to be
the choices this time were Paelo, Daisy, Rosie and King Julian! But after another vote we decided on......
......and here we have Julian, another happy puppet!
......or should we say Wallace!
And 3 more moved into the Ocean room........ We had so much fun choosing names for them and some of the suggestions were very interesting.....
Rosemary...Pippa...Fish shop...Curry...Monster...Gregory... but we held a vote for each puppet and we decided on......
parcel opening time
Mrs Christie explained that some of the new tools were really sharp
but we were allowed to have a look at them because we were being careful.
we then took the big snippers outside to see how they worked.
a lovely new bug hotel..luxury accommodation!
and some little bird houses
spades and forks for all of the digging we will be doing
and luckily we also got a big measuring tape which helped us figure what size of fence we will need around the polytunnel.
a thermometer so we can keep an eye on the temperature inside the polytunnel.....
......we closed the doors and in only a few minutes it had got a little warmer.
it's safe to say the polytunnel is going to be an amazing space for us to play and learn in.
Scissor
skills practice
We have been practicing our scissor skills a lot and we enjoy cutting and sticking with catalog pages.
These pages help us focus on what we are cutting out and concentrate on the object.
Who can resist these smiles?
Lots of the children love to show off their smiles and happy faces.... we see them sooooo much when we are out and about getting up to allsorts!
Transition has begun......!!! 😊
Some of our littlest Holmies are becoming so big that after the summer will be time for them to pop on up to Primary one!!!
😳Already?!?!
So we have begun to visit the A block with the primary one classes and familiarize ourselves with it.
