SAFE, HAPPY, LEARNING, RESPECTFUL
Easter
Did you know that hens lay chocolate eggs?
P2s were pranked this morning, the first of April, when they were told that there was no Easter egg hunt because the hens forgot to lay chocolate eggs.
What a happy surprise Primary 2 had when they went to the Sensory Garden and found a chocolate egg with their name on it.
Wishing all families a very happy and healthy Easter holiday.
World Down Syndrome Day 21/03/22
We were encouraged to wear super socks for the day. Socks keep your feet warm but they are ALL different. It doesn’t change their purpose.
Every child is unique, special and different. Every child should feel included. This means we help each other by being:
caring and kind
patient and supportive
helpful and friendly.
What ways do you help others to feel included?
Red Nose Day
We joined in lots of fun outdoor activities to raise money for Red Nose Day.
Activities included skipping, hockey, running and beat the goalie.
Holm Primary raised £514.
Well done to everyone for this fantastic effort.
Class Talks
Archie delivered a fantastic class talk on Beavers and wore his uniform. He demonstrated lots of skills including speaking out to an audience, sharing knowledge about the badges he has earned and giving his opinions when answering questions.
World Book Day
We enjoyed sharing and reading our favourite books to a partner.
We looked at front covers and discussed the words title, author, illustrator, fiction and non-fiction. We identified what made a good front cover. We used this knowledge to design our own book front covers.
Health and Well-being
Gymnastic Skills
We were so proud of our gymnastic skills jumping onto the box and landing on our knees. We were able to demonstrate pencil, tuck and star jumps off to then land on our feet.
We were all amazing and so brave!
The Three Little Pigs
Look at the fun we had using our creative skills to design houses for the Three Liitle Pigs.
Which design will best keep the Three Little Pigs safe from the Big Bad Wolf?
The Three Little Pigs
We have acted out the roles of the Three Little Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf
When we are in the'hot seat' we are asked questions about our character. What questions would you ask to find more information about them?
We made houses of straw, sticks and bricks. What materials are use to build houses?
Hello and Happy New Year.
