Keanon Lowe, former University of Oregon wide receiver, 49ers analyst, and Parkrose HS football coach and campus security guard will have a Disney movie made about him for disarming a student with a shotgun at Parkrose High School in 2019.

Lowe worked as a football coach and security guard at Parkrose High School when a student entered on May 17 with a shotgun. Lowe, who was in a classroom, successfully calmed the student down and gently took the gun away. No shots were fired that day. After disarming the student, who was later determined to be suicidal, Lowe hugged him.

As a result, Lowe was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor civilian award and earned the title as one of TIME Magazine’s Heroes of the Year.

There is not word yet who will star as Lowe, but Disney made public that Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia will be the film producers, through the Seven Bucks Production. The movie will appear on Disney+.

Lowe currently works as an offensive analyst for the UCLA football team.

“I’m proud of the work I did inside the school, and not just on the football field,” Lowe stated to The Oregonian. “I’ll forever be a Parkrose Bronco.”
