Philippians 2:11 Says All GLORY Goes to the Father!
***What Does Romans 9:5 TRULY mean?
Here is Romans 9:5 from the KJV. “Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.”
Does Romans 9:5 PROVE that a PRE-EXISTING Son of God BECAME Flesh?
In other words, does the Apostle Paul INTEND Romans 9:5 to mean that a God the Son came down from heaven and BECAME flesh?
NO! Absolutely NOT! For you see, the Apostle Paul teaches us in 1 Corinthians 3:23 that Christ BELONGS to Almighty God.
And in 2 Corinthians 5:15-21, the Apostle Paul clearly teaches us that Almighty God DWELT in the FLESH of Jesus.
Also, the Apostle Paul teaches us that the Father is the God of Jesus, according to 2 Corinthians 11:31 and many other passages of Scripture.
Plus, the Apostle Paul clearly identifies the Father as the ONLY wise God in Romans 16:27 “To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.”

Book 7 Chapter 5.
Almighty God the FATHER is BLESSED Forever!
Here in chapter 5, I will focus only on the verses used by Trinitarian Christians in order to try to prove that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh.
Here is argument number 4 from the Trinitarian article that I have been quoting from, which I will explain in the next chapter as to WHY it does NOT prove that Jesus is the Eternal God, who alone is the Creator.
“4) Each member of the Trinity is God. The Father is God (John 6:27; Romans 1:7; 1 Peter 1:2).
The Son is God (John 1:1, 14; Romans 9:5; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 5:20).
The Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4; 1 Corinthians 3:16).”
Again, we all agree that the Father is Almighty God. And thus, there is no need to explain those verses of Scripture.
And, as I have already said in the previous chapters, the Scriptures teach us that the Holy Spirit is NOT a SEPARATE person from the Father.
But rather, the Holy Spirit is the Father Himself as a PORTION of the self-same BEING of the Father who is a Spirit.
So then, the focus of this chapter will be on the following questions.
#1. Does Jesus, being called God. mean that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh?
#2. Does Jesus, being called God, mean that Jesus is a God under and subject to his God and Father?
#3. If Jesus is a God under his God, then WHEN did the Son of God BECOME a God? Was it in the eternity past?
Or was the Son of MAN, Jesus made to become a God after the cross and resurrection?
Let us begin chapter 4 by taking a closer look at Romans 9:5 from the King James Version first.
Romans 9:5 from the KJV.
“Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over ALL, God blessed for ever. Amen.”
Notice that the KJV does NOT say, “who is God over all of the entire universe, blessed forever. Amen”
But rather, the KJV says that Christ, the Messiah is over ALL, and that God is blessed for ever. Amen.
For you see, it is Yahweh the Father who HIGHLY EXALTED His human Son, Jesus, to be the HEAD of the church.
In other words, Christ is over ALL of us as Christians and NOT over all of the entire universe.
And that interpretation agrees with the rest of the Scripture which teaches us that the glory is to Almighty God the Father, according to Philippians 2:11 and Philippians 4:19,20, plus many other verses of Scripture.
For you see, according to 1 Corinthians 11:3, God is the HEAD of Christ and Christ is the head of the church.
Now, in some of the “modern” translations, such as the ESV, the translators rearrange the order of the Greek words to make it seem as if Jesus is the Eternal and the Almighty God Himself who is over all of the entire universe, blessed forever. Amen.
Here is Romans 9:5 from the ESV.
“To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.”
But, when we compare the KJV with other translations like the Good New Translation, then we can clearly see that the God intended meaning of Romans 9:5 is that the blessing is being given to Almighty God the Father, the God of His Messiah.
Romans 9:5 from the GNT.
“They are descended from the famous Hebrew ancestors; and Christ, as a human being, belongs to their race. May God, who rules over all, be praised forever! Amen.”
Now, to me, this is the God intended sound Biblical meaning of Romans 9:5.
For you see, according to 1 Corinthians 11:3, Almighty God is the HEAD of Christ and Christ is the head of the church, the ALL who BELIEVE.
So, NO! Romans 9:5 does NOT prove that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh as Trinitarian Christians CLAIM that this verse means.
But what about Colossians 2:9 that teaches us that Jesus is the FULNESS of the Godhead.
Clearly, this verse means that Jesus is FULLY Almighty God in the flesh.
How could it mean anything else is the Trinitarian argument as well as the Oneness Pentecostal argument.
So then, let us take a CLOSER look at Colossians 2:9 in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.
Colossians 2:9.
“For in him dwells ALL the FULNESS of the Godhead bodily.”
Here is Colossians 2:9 from the Common English Bible.
“All the fullness of deity lives in Christ's body.”
Clearly, Jesus has his OWN body, soul, and will.
Colossians 2:9 from the Complete Jerusalem Bible.
“For in him, bodily, lives the fullness of all that God is.”
In other words, Almighty God created an IMAGE of Himself who will rule FOR Yahweh in the NAME of Yahweh for 1000 years in PEACE having NO WARS.
And then, the Godhead in ONE PERSON who alone is the FATHER will JUDGE the world by the MAN who He ordained and raised from the DEAD, according to Acts 17:29-31.
Colossians 2:9 from the Good News Translation.
“For the full content of divine nature lives in Christ, in his humanity,”
And we shall ALSO be made PARTAKERS of the DIVINE NATURE at the coming of Jesus, according to 2 Peter 4:1.
Now, here is one of the most biased Oneness Pentecostal translations, the New International Reader's Version.
For you see, they believe that God created Himself a BODY of clothes to dwell in.
And thus, to THEM, Jesus is one and the self-same BEING as the Father.
Here is Colossians 2:9 from the NIRV.
“God’s whole nature is living in Christ in human form.”
And yet, NONE of these translations, not even the most BIASED Oneness Pentecostal translations proves that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh.
For you see, the Son of MAN, Jesus, was GIVEN the fullness of Deity to dwell in him AFTER the cross and resurrection.
Please read the CONTEXT in Colossians 1:18-20.
Colossians 1:18-20.
“And he (Speaking of the now GLORIFIED Son of MAN, Jesus) is the HEAD of the body, the church: who is the beginning, (Of the church, the NEW CREATURES of Almighty God the Father) the FIRSTBORN from the DEAD; (Speaking of the FIRST human Son of God to be raised from the DEAD to be GIVEN the DIVINE NATURE of immortality, according to John 5:22-27, Philippians 2:8-11, and 2 Peter 1:4) that in THE ALL things he might have the preeminence.
Colossians 1:19. For it PLEASED the Father that in him should ALL FULLNESS dwell; (And according to Philippians 2:8-11 and Hebrews 1:8,9, it was AFTER the cross and resurrection that it PLEASED the Father to HIGHLY EXALT His human Son, Jesus, and ANOINT him above his FELLOWS to become a God under and subject to his God and Father)
Colossians 1:20. And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile THE ALL things unto Himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.”
Or more correctly translated. “I say, whether THE on earth or THE in heaven”, speaking of THE ALL who BELIEVE on the earth and THE ALL who have died in Jesus and are now in heaven.
The English word “things” was ADDED by the translators in the KJV. And most “modern” translations simply COPY the KJV.
Use a concordance to find the Strong’s number G3588 and you will see that the translators translated the Greek word “ho” as “they be things” when it actually means THE on earth and THE in heaven.
So again, my conclusion is NO! Colossians 2:9 does NOT prove that Jesus is Almighty God Himself who BECAME flesh.
But rather, Almighty God the Father DWELT in Jesus during the days of his flesh in the same way that Almighty God the Father NOW dwells in us who BELIEVE.
And that is why Jesus teaches us that WE can do the SAME WORKS that Jesus did THROUGH the power of the Eternal Spirit who dwelt in him, according to John 14:10-12, Acts 10:38, 1 Corinthians 3:16, and 1 Corinthians 6:19.
Now, is your BODY yours? Do you have your OWN body? Well, so did Jesus.
Almighty God did NOT prepare Himself a BODY like the Oneness Pentecostal Christians CLAIM.
Please read the Verse Study on Hebrews 10:5. Also, read the Verse Study called Colossians 2:9 What Does Godhead TRULY Mean?
But for now, let us take a CLOSER look at the next verse used by Trinitarian Christians to try to prove that Jesus is Almighty God Himself who BECAME flesh.
“The Son is God (John 1:1, 14; Romans 9:5; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 5:20).”
We have already seen that neither Romans 9:5 nor Colossians 2:9 prove that Jesus is Yahweh Himself in the flesh.
But what about 1 John 5:20, which teaches us that Jesus is the TRUE God?
Surely that is proof enough that Jesus is Yahweh Himself in the flesh. Well, that is the Trinitarian argument.
But as you will see, that is NOT what 1 John 5:20 actually teaches us when it is correctly interpreted in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.
1 John 5:20 from the KJV.
“And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is TRUE, and we are in Him that is TRUE, even in His Son Jesus Christ. THIS is the TRUE God, AND eternal life.”
First of all, we must first be in the Son of God in order to be in the Father.
Please read what the SAME Apostle John says in 1 John 2:23-25.
1 John 2:23-25.
“Whosoever denies the Son, the same has NOT the Father: (but) he that acknowledges the Son has the Father ALSO. (In other words, if you do not believe in the Son, then you are NOT in the Father.
Therefore, you must be in the Son in order to ALSO be in the Father.
Now, all of the words in green type were added by the translators)
1 John 2:24. Let that therefore abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning. If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Son, AND in the Father.
1 John 2:25. And THIS is the promise that he has promised us, even eternal life.”
And Jesus teaches us in John 17:1-3 that the Father is the ONLY TRUE God.
But Jesus ALSO said, THIS is ETERNAL LIFE that they may know YOU Father are the ONLY TRUTHFUL God.
And ALSO, that they may know me, the one You have COMMISSIONED.
So then, the KNOWING that the ANOINTED Son of MAN, Jesus was “commissioned” by his God and Father.
AND also knowing that the Father is the ONLY TRUTHFUL God is having ETERNAL LIFE abiding in you.
The Greek word that is translated as TRUE is Strong’s number G288, which means TRUTHFUL.
Jesus is comparing the ONLY TRUTHFUL God to the LYING god of this present world.
It does NOT mean that Jesus is a FALSE god just because he is a God under and subject to his God and Father.
Nor does it mean that Jesus is not truthful. But rather, it means that Satan is a LYING god.
And thus, if you want ETERNAL LIFE, then you must believe in BOTH the Father and the Son of the Living God whom the Father MADE both Lord and Christ AFTER the cross and resurrection, according to Acts 2:36.
So again, the answer is NO! 1 John 5:20 does NOT prove that Jesus is the ONLY TRUE God.
The Son of God was manifested to give us an UNDERSTANDING of the FATHER.
And by being in the Son we are in the FATHER who is TRUTHFUL while Satan is a LIAR.
Well, that leaves us with two verses left that are used by Triniarian Christians to try to prove that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh, Hebrews 1:8, and John 1:1,14.
Let us take a closer look and Hebrew 1:8 first so that you can see WHEN Yahweh the Father ANOINTED His Son with the oil of GLADNESS to become a God under and subject to His God and Father.
Hebrews 1:8.
“But unto the Son He said, your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.”
The writer of Hebrews is quoting a PROPHECY. And a prophecy is a foretelling of a future event that has not yet happened at the time the prophecy was first spoken.
And this one verse taken out of its CONTEXT is only PART of the prophecy.
So again, you have to wonder WHY this Trinitarian writer did NOT give Hebrews 1:8,9 as his reference to try to prove that God is a Trinity Godhead made up of three separate persons.
To me, it is because verse 9 actually PROVES that the Father is the God of His Son.
And thus, that PROVES that Jesus is NOT Almighty God Himself in the flesh.
So then, let us read Hebrews 1:8 being LEFT in its CONTEXT so that you can see that Jesus BECAME a God under and subject to his God and Father AFTER the cross and resurrection.
Hebrews 1:4-9.
“Being MADE so much better than the angels, as he has by INHERITANCE OBTAINED a more excellent NAME than they.
Hebrews 1:5. For unto which of the angels said He at ANY time, You are My Son, THIS DAY have I BEGOTTEN you? And again, I WILL be to him a Father, and he SHALL be to Me a Son?
Hebrews 1:6. And again, when He brings in the first begotten into the world, He said, And let all the angels of God worship him.
Hebrews 1:7. And of the angels He said, Who makes His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire.
Hebrews 1:8. But unto the Son He said, your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.
Hebrews 1:9. You have LOVED righteousness, and hated iniquity; THEREFORE God, even YOUR God, has ANOINTED you WITH the oil of GLADNESS ABOVE your FELLOWS.”
Are the angels the BRETHREN or fellows of Jesus? Would an already Almighty God the Son have needed to be ANOINTED in the eternity past to be above the angels?
Was there sin or iniquity up in heaven in the eternity past when the Son of God was supposedly begotten?
The answer to all of these questions is NO! THEREFORE, the very reason for WHY the Father ANOINTED His Son to be above his fellows was BECAUSE Jesus loved righteousness and hated SIN.
And thus, the “THIS DAY” that the Son of God was BEGOTTEN was NOT in the eternity past as some Trinitarian Christians CLAIM.
But rather, Acts 13:33,34 teaches us that the EXACT DAY that Jesus was BEGOTTEN of the Father to BECOME the Son of God was the very day that God raised His human Son from the DEAD and CROWNED him with glory and honor to RECEIVE all power and authority to be made a Lord, a King, and a God over the earth during the world to come.
And that I will begin to prove beyond any shadow of a doubt in the following chapters of Book 7.
