Book 6 Chapter 4
The Bible Teaches that Jesus BECAME God’s Eternal Son!
There are basically three DIFFERENT interpretations for WHY Jesus is called the Son of God. I will list them in no particular order.
Interpretation #1.
The Trinitarian interpretation for why Jesus is called the Son of God and also the Son of man is that an eternally pre-existing God the Son who has always been God the Son having no beginning BECAME flesh, the Son of man, Jesus.
Trinitarian Christians believe that Jesus had TWO natures at the SAME time during the days of his flesh, one divine, and one human.
Interpretation #2.
The Oneness Pentecostal interpretation for why Jesus is called the Son of God and also the Son of man is that Almighty God Himself, who ALONE in the Father, BECAME flesh, the Son of man, Jesus.
Oneness Pentecostal Christians also believe that Jesus had TWO natures at the SAME time during the days of his flesh, one divine, and one human.
Interpretation #3.
The Jehovah’s Witness and a redefined Trinitarian interpretation for why Jesus is called the Son of God and also the Son of man is that a pre-existing Son of God whom God CREATED or BEGOTTEN in the eternity past BECAME flesh, the Son of man, Jesus.
The Jehovah’s Witness Christians do NOT believe that Jesus had TWO natures at the SAME time during the days of his flesh, one divine, and one human.
Interpretation #4.
The Biblical Unitarian interpretation for why Jesus is called the Son of God and also the Son of man is that the spoken word of prophecy that came forth out from the MOUTH of God was MADE flesh by Almighty FULFILLING His word of prophecy.
John 1:14 states as a fact that the word was made FLESH, which we all know and agree is speaking of the Son of MAN, Jesus.
And thus, Biblical Unitarian Christians do NOT believe that Jesus had TWO natures at the SAME time during the days of his flesh, one divine, and one human. But we do believe that the HUMAN Son of God was made a partaker of the DIVINE NATURE of immortality AFTER the cross and resurrection.
And thus, Jesus did have two natures, but NOT at the SAME time DURING the days of his FLESH.
Now, here is one of the MANY reasons for WHY I am a Biblical Unitarian Christian. The Bible teaches us that we are to believe the “Doctrine of Christ”. So then, what is the doctrine of Christ?” Please read the follow passage of Scripture and I will add my comments and explanations in parenthesis.
2 John 1:4-11.
“I rejoiced greatly that I found of your children walking in TRUTH, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
2 John 1:5. And now I beseech you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
2 John 1:6. And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.
2 John 1:7. For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess NOT that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. (This is very important to understand CORRECTLY. The word “Christ” has two meanings.
It means Messiah and it means ANOINTED. So when you read the words Jesus Christ, or Christ Jesus, the replace the word “Christ” will one or bother on those meaning. In other words, in you mind read Jesus ANOINTED, ANOINTED Jesus, Jesus Messiah, and Messiah Jesus.
Then know and understand that it was the ANOINTING of Almighty God that CAME in the flesh at the BAPTISM of the Son of MAN, Jesus. For you see, that is when the God of Jesus ANOINTED His human Son with the Holy Spirit and power, according to Acts 10:38.
But both Trinitarian and Oneness Pentecostal Christians WRONGLY interpret this passage of Scripture to mean the God BECAME flesh. However, the TRUTH of the matter is the God of Jesus came and DWELT in the flesh of the Son of MAN, Jesus who has his own soul and his own will, according to 2 Corinthians 5:14-21, John 5:19, John 14:10, and many other verses of Scripture)
2 John 1:8. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
2 John 1:9. Whosoever transgresses and abides (Or remains) NOT in the doctrine of Christ, (Or whosoever transgresses by NOT remaining in the teaching of the ANOINTING that came in the flesh of Jesus) has not God. He that abides (Or he that REMAINS believing) in the doctrine of Christ, he has BOTH the Father and the Son. (For you see, the Son could do NOTHING of himself and it was the Father DWELLING in his who did the works. And now, the SAME ANOINTING dwelling is us who BELIEVE. And Jesus said in John 14:10-12, the SAME works that I do, YOU shall do ALSO)
2 John 1:10. If there come any unto you, and bring NOT this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: (In other words, do NOT receive his or her man-made doctrines. A better translation is do not receive him into your family, as in, receiving his DOCTRINE into your fellowship. And NEITHER bid him FAREWELL, as in, TURN him or her AWAY as if you AGREE that it is alright to wrongly believe in a false doctrine.
And in my own opinion, never judge them as not being truly saved. They are saved if they believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, but they have been deceived to wrongly believe in false man-made doctrines that God Himself BECAME a man. And that contradicts Numbers 23:19, Hosea 11:9, and the Father being the God of Jesus who MADE the Son of MAN, Jesus both Lord and Christ AFTER the cross, according to Acts 2:36)
2 John 1:11. For he that bids him God speed (Or bids him farewell as if he is doing well in what he WRONGLY believes) is partaker of his evil deeds.”
The Apostle Paul teaches us in 2 Corinthians 11:6 that if someone is teaching another Jesus or another gospel having another spirit, then we might well bear with him. That means to be HONEST with him holding up the TRUTH.
And that involves “putting up” with hearing his same arguments over and over again trying to convince you that he is right and you are dead in your sin, because you do not believe that Jesus is Yahweh Himself like church TRADITION claims.
Here is just one of MANY passages of Scripture that prove beyond any shadow of a doubt the Jesus is the FULFILLMENT of prophecy and not a so-called pre-existing God the Son who BECAME flesh.
1 Peter 1:16-23.
“Because it is written, Be you holy; for I am holy. (Know and understand that God cleanses you from ALL of your unrighteousness each and every time you repent and confess your sins.
So, if you sin, do not try to excuse your sin, but rather, repent and confess your sin as soon as the Holy Spirit convicts you of sin. And know that it is God who makes you holy even as He is Holy)
1 Peter 1:17. And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: (Or walk before God in reverence knowing that He is just to punish the ungodly and disobedient to the gospel because He created us. And also have a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving for what our brother, Jesus, suffered for us on the cross)
1 Peter 1:18. Forasmuch as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
1 Peter 1:19. But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (Remember also, that Jesus had to first SUFFER by being TEMPTED, mocked, rejected, hated, and persecuted, before he suffered and died on the cross)
1 Peter 1:20. Who verily was FOREORDAINED before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, (The word “foreordained” means that Almighty God FORESAW in His mind His future Messiah before the foundation of the world. God then foreordained
His plan of salvation by speaking the words of prophecy out from His MOUTH, according to Isaiah 55:9-11.
Then God PERFORMED His word of prophecy, according to Isaiah 9:6,7. And the word of PROPHECY was MANIFESTED or fulfilled in THESE last days. And that means that some MORE prophecy still needs to be manifested or made to appear, be fulfilled)
1 Peter 1:21. Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and GAVE him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. (And, according to John 17:22, Jesus will give us the SAME GLORY that his God and Father GAVE to him after the cross and resurrection. For you see, according to John 7:39, the Son of God had not yet been GLORIFIED or CROWNED with eternal life)
1 Peter 1:22. Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the TRUTH through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1 Peter 1:23. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever.”
Over that past decade I have noticed that many Trinitarian Christians are REDEFINING their doctrine of the Trinity. To me, it is kind of like the reformation. The “Protestants” or the Christians protesting against the ERRORS of interpretation made by the Roman Catholic Church RESTORED PART of the truth, but yet they did not COMPLETELY restore ALL of the truth. And the Trinitarian Christians who have seen SOME of the errors in the man-made doctrine of the Trinity have not COMPLETE come totally out of Trinitarianism.
For example, the Jehovah’s Witness saw the ERROR of the doctrine of the Trinity that states emphatically that the Son of God had NO BEGINNING. And we all know that Jesus was BEGOTTEN by God, which means that the Son of God had to have a BEGINNING. So the founders of the Jehovah’s Witnesses “reformed” or redefined the doctrine of the Trinity.
But yet the KEPT PART of the doctrine of the Trinity which wrongly teaches a so-called PRE-EXISTING Son of God in the eternity past.
Here is a quote from the Jevohah’s Witnesses website concerning why Jesus is called the Son of God. Please understand that I am NOT a Jehovah’s Witness nor will I ever be a Jehovah’s Witnesses. The purpose of quoting what they teach is to show WHY and HOW they have erred in interpretation the Scriptures. The emphasis is mine and the comments in parenthesis in Times Roman font are mine.
Did Jesus live in heaven before he was born on earth?
Did Jesus live in heaven before he was born on earth?
Yes. Jesus was a spirit creature in heaven before he was born as a human on earth. Jesus himself said: “I have come down from heaven.”—John 6:38; 8:23.
(The verse the give references to are taken OUT of context and they are incorrectly “interpreted”. And I will show why what I emphasize in green highlighting is FALSE teaching)
God created Jesus before he created anything else. Regarding Jesus, the Bible says:
“He is . . . the firstborn of all creation.”—Colossians 1:15.
(The CONTEXT is speaking of the Son of MAN, Jesus, as being the firstborn from the DEAD to become the BEGINNING of God new creation of new CREATURES of righteousness)
He is “the beginning of the creation by God.”—Revelation 3:14.
(The CONTEXT is speaking of the Son of MAN, Jesus, as being the firstborn from the DEAD to become the BEGINNING of God new creation of new CREATURES of righteousness. Compare the Faithful Witness in Revelation 1:5. Why would God need a Faithful and True Witness in the eternity past?)
Jesus fulfilled the prophecy about the one “whose origin is from ancient times, from the days of long ago.”—Micah 5:2; Matthew 2:4-6.
(Incorrectly “translated” and it should read Whose GOINGS FORTH have been from old, from an age. In other words, the PROPHECIES of both comings of the Messiah were or old)
What did Jesus do before he came to the earth?
He held an exalted heavenly position. Jesus referred to this position when he prayed: “Father, glorify me . . . with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was.”—John 17:5.
(Again, a bad translation is many Bibles. How do we know? Jesus tells us in the SAME CONTEXT in John 17:22 that the SAME GLORY that his God and Father GAVE to him, Jesus will give to us who believe. The glory was prophesied to be given to Jesus before the world to be. And Jesus was indeed GLORIED before the world to come)
He helped his Father create all other things. Jesus worked alongside God “as a master worker.” (Proverbs 8:30)
(Now, if you read Proverbs 8:22-31 CAREFULLY, then you was see that even if Jesus was LITERALLY there, he did not lift a single figure to help God create anything. The Father did ALL of the creating. And the TRUTH of the matter is that this passage of Scripture is a “personification” of the yet coming Messiah who will rejoice in the HABITABLE part of the earth. Please read the study V-21 What Does Proverbs 8:22-31 TRULY Mean?)
Regarding Jesus, the Bible says: “By means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth.”—Colossians 1:16.
(Again, the CONTEXT is speaking of ALL who are created by God in him or onto the BODY of Jesus Christ, the church)
God worked through Jesus to bring every other creation into existence. This creation included all other spirit creatures, as well as the physical universe. (Revelation 5:11) In some respects, this cooperation between God and Jesus was like that of an architect working with a builder. The architect creates the design; the builder brings the design to reality.
(Jesus did NOT create the angels NOR did the Son help God create the angels. God created MAN and the Son of MAN, Jesus, a little LOWER or inferior to the angels BECAUSE of the REBELLION of the angels, according to Psalm 8:1-6)
He served as the Word. When speaking of Jesus’ prehuman life, the Bible calls Jesus “the Word.” (John 1:1) Evidently, this means that God used his Son to convey information and instructions to other spirit creatures.
(This is total fiction based upon the false teachings of the doctrine of the Trinity. The word is the SAYING of God and NOT a separate person who was supposedly with God in the eternity past. Please read B-1 John 1:1 Made SIMPLE!)
Jesus also seems to have acted as God’s Spokesman to humans on earth. God likely spoke through Jesus as the Word when giving instructions to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. (Genesis 2:16, 17) Jesus may have been the angel who guided the ancient Israelites through the wilderness and whose voice the Israelites were strictly to obey.—Exodus 23:20-23.
The Angel of the LORD was a FIGURE of Jesus and NOT a literal manifestation of a so-called pre-existing Jesus. Please read the study V-5 Is Jesus the Angel of the Lord?
So then, my conclusion is that during the days of his FLESH from his Virgin birth to God raising him from the dead, the phrase, “the Son of God” means the fully HUMAN Son of God having NO divine nature. And the GLORIFIED Son of MAN, Jesus, is now the ETERNAL Son of God who was GIVEN the divine nature of IMMORTALITY.
For you see, Jesus was DECLARED to be the Son of God with power AFTER the cross and resurrection to be called O God by his God and Father because he loved righteousness and hated iniquity, according to Hebrews 1:8,9. Please read the following verses which agree with the HUMAN Son of God being CROWNED with glory and honor to RECEIVE power after he OBEYED his God and Father to die on the cross.
Romans 1:3,4.
“Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was MADE of the seed of David according to the flesh;
Romans 1:4. And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:”
2 Corinthians 5:16.
“Wherefore, henceforth, know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet NOW henceforth (Or from now on after the resurrection) we know him no more.”
In other words, for now on after the resurrection we no longer know Jesus as being mortal flesh. But now we know Jesus as the IMMORTAL or eternal Son of God who was GIVEN life to be having in himself even as the Father has always had life in himself. Again, it was the Son of MAN, who God MADE Lord.
Acts 2:32-36.
“This Jesus (Speaking of the Son of MAN, Jesus, who was lifted up on the cross according to John 3:14) has God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
Acts 2:33. Therefore, being by the right hand of God EXALTED, and having RECEIVED of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he has shed forth this, which you now see and hear.
Acts 2:34. For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he said himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit you on my right hand, (Or come and join Me at My right hand on My throne)
Acts 2:35. UNTIL I make your foes your footstool.
Acts 2:36. Therefore, let all the house of Israel KNOW ASSUREDLY, that God has MADE (Or EXALTED and CROWNED) that same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
Hebrews 2:5-14.
“For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
Hebrews 2:6. But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?
Hebrews 2:7. You MADE him a little lower than the angels; You CROWNED him with glory and honor, and did SET him over the works of Your hands:
Hebrews 2:8. You have put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. (In other words, more of Yahweh’s PROPHECIES still need to be FULFILLED in the worlds to come)
Hebrews 2:9. But WE see Jesus, who was MADE a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, CROWNED with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Hebrews 2:10. For it became Him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to MAKE the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Hebrews 2:11. For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Hebrews 2:12. Saying, I will declare Your name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto You.”
Now, some Christians argue the Hebrews 2:14 and Philippians 2:6-8 prove beyond any shadow of a doubt the a pre-existing God the Son came down from heaven and was MANIFESTED or INCARNATED in the flesh. And therefore, the THEM, Jesus had to have had TWO natures at the SAME time DURING the days of his FLESH, one divine and one human.
So, we will cover OTHER meanings of those two verses is chapter 5 called B-6 Ch5 What does Hebrews 2:14 TRULY Mean?

Once Christians, Jews, Muslims, and even atheists understand the REASON that Yahweh CREATED the Son of MAN, Jesus, was to have DOMINION over the work of Yahweh’s hands.
And after you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels.
Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become “a” Lord, “a” King, and “a” God, under and subject to his God and Father in order to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
