How can the STAUROS be BOTH a Stake and a CROSS?
In other words, HOW is it possible for Jesus to have been hung on a TORTURE STAKE that is a STRAIGHT upright POLE with NO CROSS MEMBER, and also have both of his hands outstretched to the RIGHT and to the LEFT and NAILED to the STAUROS if there was no cross member on the stauros?
Well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I will show you two pictures of a “stauros” defined as a straight upright pole.
Here is a picture of a telephone pole with NO CROSS MEMBER to fasten the wires on the RIGHT and the LEFT of the pole to STRETCH out the space between the wires.
And here is a utility pole WITH a CROSS MEMBER.
Now, according to this rather long article in Wikipedia, the straight upright pole was already fixed firmly in the ground.
And then, those being crucified CARRIED a plank of wood or a beam of wood called a patibulum, also known as stipes, to the place of execution.
They would then be tied or tied and nailed to that CROSS MEMBER while lying on the ground.
Then they would be hoisted up with ropes and fastened to the permanently fixed upright STAUROS either with nails or rope.
Then to add more pain and suffering, their feet or ankles were nailed to the upright pole.
Here is a quote from that article. The emphasis is mine.
“If the crucifixion took place in an established place of execution, the vertical beam (stipes) might be permanently embedded in the ground.[29][93]
In this case, the condemned person's wrists would first be nailed to the patibulum, and then he or she would be hoisted off the ground with ropes to hang from the elevated patibulum while it was fastened to the stipes.[29][93]
Next the feet or ankles would be nailed to the upright stake.[29][93] The 'nails' were tapered iron spikes approximately 13 to 18 cm (5 to 7 in) long, with a square shaft 10 millimeters (3⁄8 in) across.[30]
The titulus would also be fastened to the cross to notify onlookers of the person's name and crime as they hung on the cross, further maximizing the public impact.[86][93]”
So then, just as a utility POLE is still DEFINED as being a POLE in BOTH cases, a pole is a pole WITH a CROSS PIECE and WITHOUT a cross piece.
And so also is the STAUROS is a STAUROS whether it is defined as an upright stake WITHOUT a cross piece or as an upright stake WITH a CROSS piece.
But a stauros WITH a cross piece is called a CROSS and the EYEWITNESSES of the crucifixion of Jesus have uses many different SYMBOLS that have the CROSS HIDDEN in them.
And just as a side note, Constantine ABOLISHED execution by CRUCIFIXION in the Roman Empire in 337 AD.
Here is a quote from that same article on Wikipedia.
“Constantine the Great, the first Christian emperor, abolished crucifixion in the Roman Empire in 337 out of veneration for Jesus Christ, its most famous victim.[79][80][81]”
So then, for the governing body of the Jehovah’s Witnesses to say or even imply that Constantine is the one who started the use of the CROSS as the SYMBOL of Christianity, is misleading the Jehovah’s Witnesses to not see what the Bible ITSELF ACTUALLY teaches us about the CROSS being the TREE of LIFE.
For you see, WITHOUT the CROSS and resurrection, there would be no eternal life for us to RECEIVE to enter into the world to come to RULE and reign WITH Jesus for 1000 years over the whole earth.
In Proverb 8:33-35, we learn that whosoever finds WISDOM, which is a FIGURE of Jesus, finds LIFE.
Proverbs 3:33-35.
“Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
Proverbs 8:34. Blessed is the man that hears me, (Or blessed are they who hear the words of Jesus written in the New Testament under the NEW Covenant) watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors. (Jesus has two HARVESTS, those who are faithful believes in Jesus DURING this PRESENT world, and those who LEARN the gospel of salvation DURING the world to come, the 1000-year reign of Jesus)
Proverbs 8:35. For whosoever finds Me finds life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD.”
Therefore, if you are a TRUE born-again Christians who is faithful to obey the words of Jesus written in the New Testament under the NEW Covenant, then YOU WILL receive ETERNAL LIFE to RULE and reign WITH Jesus up in the first heaven called the SKY.
In other words, the 144,000 will be DOWN on the earth still in their MORTAL bodies being TAUGHT the NEW SONG during the 1000-year reign of Jesus.
Proverbs 3:13-18.
“Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding.
Proverbs 3:14. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
Proverbs 3:15. She (Speaking of the TRUE wisdom of Almighty God and NOT the wisdom of MEN.
In other words, the TRUTH of the TRUE GOSPEL of salvation in Jesus Christ) is more precious than rubies: and all the things you can desire are not to be compared unto her. (The TRUTH of the TRUE GOSPEL of Jesus Christ)
Proverbs 3:16. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor.
Proverbs 3:17. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
Proverbs 3:18. She (The TRUTH of the TRUE GOSPEL of Jesus Christ written in the New Testament under the NEW Covenant) is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retains her.”
So then, no church organization can SAVE you. The only TRUE church is CLEARLY defined as the church of the FIRSTBORN in Hebrews 12:23.
Therefore, if you are a TRUE born-again Christian, then you have the PERSON of the Holy Spirit DWELLING in you, according to 1 Corinthians 3:16,17, 1 John 4:12-16, and John 14:10.
Thus, you WILL be one of the CHILDREN of the RESURRECTION that receives eternal life to RULE and reign WITH Jesus over the MORTAL who are left in the OUTER DARKNESS to be TAUGHT of the Lord DURING the 1000-year reign of Jesus.
In other words, the governing body of the Jehovah’s Witnesses has WRONGLY taught you that ONLY 144,000 get to go to heaven to be kings and priests.
So, I implore you to read the study called Z-4. WHO are the 144,000?
But for now, let us learn HOW Jesus is the TREE of LIFE and how the 12 MANNERS of fruit are the 12 MANNERS of the FRUIT of the Holy Spirit that led us to RECEIVING eternal life at the COMING of Jesus.
Proverbs 11:30.
“The FRUIT of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that WINS souls is wise.”
And there is only ONE WAY to bear RIGHTEOUSNESS and that is to RECEIVE God’s FREE GIFT of His RIGHTEOUSNESS, according to Romans 5:12-19, and Romans 10:4, plus many other verses of Scripture such as Ephesians 2:8-15.
Please know and understand that there is WRONG teaching on “imputed” righteousness, and there is CORRECT teaching on IMPUTED righteousness.
So, please read the study called F-8 What Does IMPUTED Righteousness TRULY Mean?
But for now, let us continue to learn that what we CONFESS to believe can bring destruction to our spirit if what we sincerely believe and TEACH is NOT the TRUTH of the TRUE Gospel of salvation.
For example, Christians who have WRONGLY been taught that they can NEVER lose their salvation no matter what they do or do not do, can be MISLEAD to wrongly believe and teach others that they can be DRUNKARDS and still go to heaven.
And another example is that some church denominations, such as the Roman Catholic Church, WRONGLY teach that they ALONE are the ONE TRUE church. And they instill FEAR in their followers that if they ever QUESTION their leaders doctrines or they leave the Roman Catholic Church, then they cannot be SAVED.
Those two examples are MAN-MADE doctrines that came from Satan and NOT from Almighty God and His word.
So then, ANY church denomination that says that THEY ALONE are the ONLY TRUE church, then you KNOW for sure that they are NOT teaching doctrines that come from Almighty God and His Holy Spirit.
Therefore, since CONFESSION is made UNTO Salvation, according to Romans 10:8-10, then having a WRONG confession of a WRONG faith will NOT lead to obtaining the end of salvation.
Proverbs 15:4.
“A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein (Speaking of perverted FALSE teaching coming out of your MOUTH) is a breach (Or a DESTRUCTION) in the spirit.”
So then, what is a WHOLESOME tongue? It is a tongue that HEALS and DELIVERS. It is a tongue that SAVES.
Let me explain what I mean. Here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines the Hebrew word translated as “wholesome” tongue.

From H7495; properly curative, that is, literally (concretely) a medicine, or (abstractly) a cure; figuratively (concretely) deliverance, or (abstractly) placidity: - ([in-]) cure (-able), healing (-lth), remedy, sound, wholesome, yielding.
Total KJV occurrences: 16.
So then, a wholesome tongue is the mouth of a person who YIELDS their talking or speaking God’s word of TRUTH to teach the truth, the WHOLE truth, and nothing but the TRUTH.
Again, CONFESSION is made UNTO Salvation. But if one confesses the WRONG things like the UNSAVED do, then their PERVERTED speaking of their WRONG belief will bring DESTRUCTION to their spirit on the final Day of Judgment.
But you see, Christians can also have PERVERSENESS in what they sincerely believe and TEACH. For example, some Christians do NOT believe that God still HEALS people in our day and that healing was ONLY for the days of the Apostles. And thus, they WRONGLY teach that the GIFTS of the Holy Spirit CEASED when the last Apostle died.
Therefore, they do NOT have a WHOLE tongue that CURES.
Now, what about the TEACHING that ONLY 144,000 will be found WORTHY to go to heaven. Is that a WHOLESOME tongue or a PERVERSE tongue?
In other words, does that teaching give you FAITH to believe that ALL true born-again Christians will go to heaven?
Or does that teaching HINDER your faith to WONDER if you will be found worthy when Jesus comes? If you WONDER if you will be found worthy, then you need to learn the TRUTH of the TRUE Gospel of salvation.
So I IMPLORE you to read all of the studies under the subject heading ** E-0. What MUST I Do to be SAVED? **
Do that NOW, you can always come back after you are TRULY saved and finish this study.
Revelation 2:1-7.
“Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things says He that holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; (In other words, Jesus is speaking to specific Christians who believe what Jesus ALSO hates, but who have a FAULT they they need to CORRECT.
In other words, you can attend any church denomination and FIT the characteristics of the church at Ephesus. To say this another way, the SEVEN churches represent ALL of the 40,000 plus different church denominations in the world today.
The number seven means COMPLETE, so the letters to the seven CHURCHES are to the WHOLE body of believers.
So then, if you call yourself a Christian, then this letter is written to YOU just the same as ALL of the seven letters to the churches in Asia are written to YOU)
Revelation 2:2. I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and how you can not bear them which are evil: and you have tried them which SAY (Or CLAIM) they are apostles, and are NOT, and have found them LIARS: (Please notices that the leaders of many church denominations CLAIM that they alone can interpret the Bible CORRECTLY and that you must believe and teach what THEY SAY is what the Apostles of Jesus teach, but they are LIARS.
But HOW can you KNOW for SURE that they are LIARS? It is because they do NOT teach ALL of what the Apostles teach.
They PERVERT 1 John 2:26-28 by their CLAIMING that you NEED them to correctly interpret the Bible FOR you. And that CONTRADICTS what the Apostles TEACH saying that you do NOT need ANY MAN to teach you because the Holy Spirit dwelling in you will teach you all TRUTH)
Revelation 2:3. And (You the understood subject) have (You) borne, and (You) have patience, and for My name’s sake (You) have labored, and (You) have not fainted.
Revelation 2:4. Nevertheless, I have somewhat against you, because you have LEFT your first love.
Revelation 2:5. Remember therefore from whence you are fallen, and repent, and (You) do the first works; or else I will come unto you quickly, and will remove your candlestick out of his place, except you REPENT.
Revelation 2:6. But this you HAVE, that you hate the DEEDS of the Nicolaitans, which I ALSO hate.
Revelation 2:7. He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches; To him that OVERCOMES will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”
So then, HOW does a person OVERCOME the world? There is only ONE WAY as to HOW a person OVERCOMES the world.
Please read 1 John 5:4,5.
“For whosoever is BORN of God OVERCOMES the world: and THIS is the VICTORY that OVERCOMES the world, even our FAITH.
1 John 5:5. Who is he that OVERCOMES the world, but he that BELIEVES that Jesus is the Son of God?”
So then, do YOU as a Jehovah’s Witness BELIEVE that Jesus is the SON of God? If so, then you are BORN of God and have OVERCOME the world by your FAITH in Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah, the ANOINTED human SON of God who became God’s ETERNAL Son after the cross and resurrection.
And now you are in the TRUE church of the FIRSTBORN Son of Almighty God and you do NOT NEED any man-made church organization to teach you their so-called “correct” interpretation of the Bible that ONLY 144,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses will go to heaven to RULE and reign WITH Jesus over all other Jehovah’s Witness down on the earth.
No! That doctrine is a LIE from God’s ENEMY, Satan, the Devil. Any DOGMATIC demanding church doctrine that causes DIVISION is NOT from Almighty God. In other words, you as a Jehovah’s Witness know full well that the Bible ITSELF does NOT teach that Jesus is Almighty God Himself.
But those who sincerely believe and teach that Christians MUST BELIEVE the doctrine of the Trinity in order to be SAVED is making a LIE. And those who sincerely believe and teach that they are the ONLY TRUE church and you MUST be baptized in THEIR church denomination or you cannot be SAVED are ALSO making a LIE.
Revelation 22:1-5.
“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Revelation 22:2. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve MANNERS of fruit, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Revelation 22:3. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him:
Revelation 22:4. And they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads. (And Jesus said that he will write the Father’s name or the name of His God on EVERYONE who OVERCOMES in Revelation 3:12.
And in Revelation 3:21, Jesus teaches us that EVERYONE who OVERCOMES will be granted to sit on His throne even as God seated Jesus on His throne.
Therefore, the governing body of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is making a LIE by teaching that ONLY 144,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses will RULE and reign with Jesus during the world to come for 1000 years)
Revelation 22:5. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.”
So then, WHAT are the 12 manners of fruit that the tree of life BEARS? Here are the first 9 MANNER of things that are the FRUIT of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-27.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Galatians 5:23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:24. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Galatians 5:25. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Galatians 5:26. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.”
Again, WHAT are the 12 manners of fruit that the tree of life BEARS?
Here are the first 9 MANNER of things that are the FRUIT of the Spirit that I have listed and numbered. The other 3 MANNERS of FRUIT of the Holy Spirit are found in Ephesians 5:5-11 quoted below.
#1. Love,
#2. Joy,
#3. Peace,
#4. Longsuffering,
#5. Gentleness,
#6. Goodness,
#7, Faith,
#8. Meekness,
#9. Temperance.
Ephesians 5:5-11.
“For this you know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Ephesians 5:6. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Ephesians 5:7. Be not you therefore partakers with them.
Ephesians 5:8. For you were sometimes darkness, but now you are light in the Lord: WALK as children of light:
Ephesians 5:9. (For the FRUIT of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and TRUTH;)
Ephesians 5:10. Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Ephesians 5:11. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful WORKS of darkness, but rather reprove them.”
Notice that the TRUTH does NOT say have no fellowship with the PEOPLE who have unfruitful WORKS.
But rather, it says to reprove the unfruitful WORKS, NOT reprove the PERSON.
The Bible teaches us in Romans 5:8 that God loved us WHILE we were yet SINNERS.
Thus, we are to love the PERSON but HATE their SIN.
Revelation 22:14,15.
“Blessed are they that do His commandments, (Speaking of obeying the commandments that God gave to Jesus to give to us under the NEW Covenant written in the New Testament.
Namely, if we walk in LOVE then we FULFILL all of the law of Almighty God) that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Revelation 22:15. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.”
In other words, Jesus will say to many who sincerely LOVE Him to DEPART from Him because they are working iniquity, according to Matthew 7:21-23.
And Revelation 22:15 seems to be saying that those who are ALIVE and remain unto the coming of Jesus who are STILL teaching FALSE doctrines, also called, making a LIE, may very well be LEFT behind at the rapture of the church.
And they will go into the Millennial reign of Jesus in their MORTAL bodies.
Please understand that by FALSE teaching, I am speaking about DAMNABLE heresies, false teachings that can cause a Christian to lose their salvation.

Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become “a” Lord, “a” King, and “a” God, under and subject to his God and Father in order to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
