Jesus Said That God is a SPIRIT!
***What Does Acts 20:28 TRULY mean?
Here is Acts 20:28 from the KJV. “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”
And here is Acts 20:28 from the Darby Translation. “Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, wherein the Holy Spirit has set you as overseers, to shepherd the assembly of God, which He has purchased with the blood of his own.”
And here is Acts 20:28 from the New Revised Standard.
“Keep watch over yourselves and over all the flock, of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God that he obtained with the blood of his own Son.”

The Church of God Which He Purchased With the Blood of His Own SON!
I believe that the Bible itself teaches us that there is but ONE TRUE God who has a literal Son that gave his OWN blood of his OWN free will as a propitiation for our sins.
This is what the vast majority of Scriptures clearly teach us in SIMPLICITY and the Bible itself does NOT contradict itself.
But rather, it is the “interpretation” of certain Scriptures that contradicts the core foundational teaching of the WHOLE of Scripture.
And, at times, inaccurate “translations” of certain verses of Scripture are the cause of “incorrect interpretation” of those verses of Scripture.
And Acts 20:28 is one of those verses of Scripture that SEEMS to be saying something it is NOT TRULY saying in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.
Let us begin this study in God’s word by reading Acts 20:28 from the King James Version of the Bible.
Acts 20:28.
“Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost has made you overseers, to feed the church OF God, which he has purchased with his own blood.”
Both Oneness Christians and Trinitarian Christians use this verse of Scripture to argue that if God Himself did NOT shed his OWN blood on the cross then salvation would NOT be possible.
And then, they conclude by arguing that IF you do NOT believe that Jesus is Deity and that Deity died for your sins then you are DEAD in your sins.
The Oneness Christians believe that the ONE TRUE God is ONE God in ONE person.
And thus, to Oneness Christians Yahweh the Father incarnated Himself to become the Son that had TWO natures at the same time, one divine and one human.
And the Trinitarian Christians believe that the ONE TRUE God is ONE God in THREE separate persons.
And thus, to Trinitarian Christians it was God the Son who incarnated himself to become flesh that had TWO natures at the same time, one divine and one human.
And I myself believe that the ONE TRUE God is ONE God in ONE PERSON who miraculously BEGAT Himself a HUMAN Son.
And it was the anointed HUMAN SON OF God having only human nature who shed his own HUMAN blood on the cross of his own free will THROUGH the power of the eternal Spirit dwelling IN him.
This belief is called Biblical Unitarianism.
Here are some possible “INTERPRETATIONS” of Acts 20:28 that you may or may not have ever considered before.
INTERPRETATION #1.
The Oneness “interpretation” is that Yahweh the creator BECAME a MAN so He Himself could shed His OWN blood on the cross for the sins of the world.
And thus, according to the Oneness “interpretation”, DEITY died for the sins of the world which, to Oneness Christians, this verse proves that Jesus is Yahweh Himself, according to their own personal understanding.
INTERPRETATION #2.
The Trinitarian “interpretation” is that God the Son, the second person of a Godhead Trinity God BECAME a MAN and God’s SON shed his OWN blood on the cross for the sins of the world.
And thus, according to the Trinitarian “interpretation” DEITY died from the sins of the world which, to Trinitarian Christians, this verse proves that Jesus is Yahweh Himself, according to their own personal understanding.
INTERPRETATION #3.
The Biblical Unitarian “interpretation” is that the SPOKEN word of PROPHECY that came out from the MOUTH of Yahweh the creator was MADE FLESH.
And thus, according to the Biblical Unitarian “interpretation” the HUMAN Son of God shed his OWN blood on the cross for the sins of the world which, to Biblical Unitarian Christians, the whole Bible proves that Jesus BECAME a God AFTER the cross in their own understanding.
And this Biblical Unitarian “interpretation” is MY understanding as well.
INTERPRETATION #4.
Interpretation number four is in the LIGHT of “interpretation” number three that the HUMAN Son of God was HIGHLY EXALTED to become a God after the cross.
And thus, according to this “interpretation”, the church of God is referring to the church of Jesus Christ who was GIVEN the TITLE of “God” AFTER the cross.
In other words, the one true God in one person GAVE the called out ones, the church, TO His NOW highly exalted HUMAN Son that is NOW called “God” by TITLE who shed his OWN blood AS the anointed Son of MAN to PURCHASE the church.
INTERPRETATION #5.
Interpretation number five is that Jesus is the WORKMANSHIP OF Yahweh the one true God in ONE person.
And thus, according to this “interpretation” it was THEIR OWN blood that PURCHASED the church.
And by this I mean that Yahweh, the one true God in ONE person begat Himself a HUMAN Son first.
Then Yahweh MADE His human Son the CHRIST by ANOINTING Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power to accomplish the will of his God and Father.
And AFTER the anointed Son of Man accomplished the will Almighty God his maker was WHEN Yahweh MADE his own Son Lord.
And in the world yet to come is WHEN Jesus will rule the earth as God in Yahweh’s name.
Now, I myself find that “interpretations” #3, #4, and #5. do not contradiction any other Scriptures in the Bible by yet BOTH “interpretations” #1, and #2 do, indeed, CONTRADICT Numbers 23:19 and Hosea 11:9.
Please read Numbers 23:19.
“God (Or the Hebrew word “El” which usually refers to the Almighty God Himself.
But it can also speak of lesser deities under Yahweh. And since the CONTEXT of this verse speaks of the CREATOR then, to me, the TITLE “God” is referring to ALMIGHTY God Himself who) is NOT a MAN, that He should lie; NEITHER (Is Almighty God Yahweh) the SON OF MAN, that He should repent: has He said, and shall He not DO it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not MAKE it good?”
Clearly, Numbers 23:19 is speaking of Yahweh the creator who CREATED everything that exists by SPEAKING words out from His own mouth and then PERFORMING His own word of PROPHECY to make in come to pass.
So, to ME, Yahweh Himself did NOT BECOME the Son of MAN, but rather, Yahweh MADE the Son of MAN, Jesus.
Yahweh manifested the Son of MAN who He highly exalted to BECOME the mighty God just like the PROPHECY in Isaiah 9;6,7 clearly teaches us in SIMPLICITY.

But for now, let us read Hosea 11:9.
“I will not execute the fierceness of my anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God,(El) and NOT MAN; the Holy One in the midst of you: and I will not enter into the city.”
This verse in Hosea is teaching us that while Yahweh will execute His OWN wrath, He will do it THROUGH His OWN Holy one, the Son of MAN, Jesus and Yahweh Himself will NOT enter into the city.
So, to me, the true sound Biblical meaning of Acts 20:28 is the blood OF His OWN.
And other translations of the Bible even say “the blood of his own SON”.

“So keep watch over yourselves and over all the flock which the Holy Spirit has placed in your care. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He made His own through the blood of His Son.”
The Lexham English Bible is a more literal word for word translation.
And it is honest because it let us know that the translators added the word [Son] for clarity.
“Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock among which the Holy Spirit has appointed you [as] overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He obtained through the blood of His own [Son].”
And the Darby translation correctly translates Acts 20:28 in the LIGHT of the rest of God’s word by saying the blood of his own.
And this can be “interpreted” as the blood of His OWN Son, the blood of His OWN labor of LOVE, the blood of His OWN workmanship of love or the blood of His OWN CREATION in whom Yahweh is well pleased.
“Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, wherein the Holy Spirit has set you as overseers, to shepherd the assembly of God, which He has purchased with the blood of His own.”
And the Hebrews Name Version agrees with INTERPRETATION #4 where the NOW highly exalted Son of MAN, Jesus, has been GIVEN the TITLES of both Lord and God AFTER the cross.
“Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Ruach HaKodesh has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which he (Speaking of the now glorified highly exalted Son of MAN, Jesus who was MADE both Lord and Christ by Yahweh the Father and GIVEN the TITLES Lord and God) purchased with his own blood.”
Now, every Christian agrees that God so LOVED the world that He GAVE His only BEGOTTEN Son.
So then, clearly, it was the blood of God’s own Son that was shed on the cross to purchase the called out ones, the church.
And then, after the cross God GAVE the church TO His now glorified eternal Son whom Yahweh MADE Lord and God of the world yet to come for 1000 years.
But according to 1 Corinthians 15:20-28, after the 1000 years has ended the Son will step down from ruling as God and commit the ruling of the Kingdom back into Almighty God the Father’s hands.
So, we have to keep ALL these verses of Scripture in the forefront of our minds as we are “interpreting” the Scriptures.
John 3:16.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only BEGOTTEN Son, (Or God GAVE His OWN Son and NOT someone else’s son, but the Son of His OWN whom He has BEGOTTEN from the DEAD to be given as God’s NEW COVENANT) that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Trinitarian Christians argue that God gave His already eternal Son who incarnated himself to become flesh, but yet remained the fully Almighty God having TWO natures at the SAME time during the days of his FLESH, one divine, and one human.
And thus, to Trinitarian Christians, DEITY shed his own blood for the sins of the world.
But yet the Scripture says that God gave His only BEGOTTEN Son which means that God’s Son had a BEGINNING.
So, Trinitarain Christians have to CHANGE the meaning of the word “begotten” to mean “eternally” begotten which they claim means being begotten WITHOUT being begotten and that meaning ONLY applies to Jesus alone.
But for everyone else the SAME word “begotten” means to COME INTO EXISTENCE.
Can you not see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, that in order for the doctrine of the Trinity to be true, then Jesus can NOT be BEGOTTEN by God, because the ONLY TRUE God has NO beginning.
To me, Yahweh the Father’s LOVE is not less by believing that sent His HUMAN Son,
For you see, God’s HUMAN Son is still His OWN. So, to me, Acts 20:28 should be understood as God’s HUMAN Son shed his own blood of his own free will.
Jesus is still God’s SON. And the blood that was shed is STILL the blood of God’s OWN Son whether Jesus is the WORKMANSHIP of Yahweh or whether Yahweh had literal sex with another man’s betrothed wife, which I do NOT believe.
And if it was a so-called pre-existing Almighty God the Son, the second person of the one true God who shed his own blood, then that “interpretation” CONTRADICTS Numbers 23:19 and Hosea 11:9.
Now, let us read another verse of Scripture that is used by both Oneness Christians and Trinitarian Christians to argue that Jesus is Yahweh Himself.
1 John 3:16.
“Hereby we perceive the LOVE of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”
According to 1 John 3:16, it is the LOVE OF the FATHER who gave His only BEGOTTEN SON that laid down his own life of his own free will.
For you see, the CONTEXT in 1 John 3:1 is talking about the love of the FATHER.
And the Oneness Pentecostal Christians use 1 John 3:16 to argue that the FATHER laid down HIS life for us.
But ALL other Christians know perfectly well that Jesus is NOT the Father.
So again, we have the SAME five “INTERPRETATIONS”, only this time instead of his own “blood” Almighty God the FATHER is laying down “his” LIFE.
I pray that you can see how taking verses OUT of context can be MADE to say or support whatever your own church denomination teaches.
#1. The phrase “his” LIFE could be “interpreted” as being Yahweh, the Father’s LIFE.
#2. The phrase “his” LIFE could be “interpreted” as being the always existing God the Son’s LIFE.
#3. The phrase “his” LIFE could be “interpreted” as being the LIFE of His OWN Son whom God GAVE.
#4. The phrase “his” LIFE could be “interpreted” as being Yahweh, the Father’s LIFE that He Himself CREATED.
#5. The phrase “his” LIFE could be “interpreted” as being THEIR LIFE.
For you see, the Greek word that is translated as the pronoun “his” also carries the meaning of THEIR own life.
And the Greek word translated in Acts 20:28 as “his own” blood carries the meaning of THEIR OWN blood.
But this does NOT prove that the doctrine of the Trinity is sound Biblical teaching, because Yahweh did NOT have a Son in the eternity past.
But rather, Yahweh, the one God in ONE PERSON, prophesied His Son into being.

But for now, please read 2 Samuel 7:11-22 which CLEARLY teaches us that the “Word” in John 1:1 is Yahweh’s SPOKEN word of PROPHECY and NOT a literal divine separate person who was with Yahweh at Yahweh side in eternity past.
2 Samuel 7:11-22.
“And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and (I, Yahweh) have caused you (Speaking of King David) to rest from all your enemies. Also, the LORD tells you that he will make you a house. (I will dwell in the house of Yahweh forever. This last phrase LITERALLY reads “Yahweh tells you THAT HOUSE he SHALL MAKE for you Yahweh”.
So, we see TWO persons named Yahweh. In other verses we find that Yahweh GAVE His HUMAN Son, Jesus, His very OWN name Yahweh AFTER the cross to rule for Yahweh in the NAME OF Yahweh)
2 Samuel 7:12. And when your days are fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will SET UP your (ALEPH TAV Messiah Jesus) seed after you, which shall proceed out of your bowels, and I will establish (ALEPH TAV Messiah Jesus) his kingdom. (You can see how Jesus is Yahweh’s WORKMANSHIP as opposed to being Yahweh Himself)
2 Samuel 7:13. He shall build a house for my name, (Or to my glory) and I will establish the (ALEPH TAV Messiah Jesus) throne of his kingdom forever.
2 Samuel 7:14. I WILL BE his Father, and he SHALL BE my Son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: (Jesus LEARNED obedience.
Jesus was TAUGHT how to refuse the evil and choose the GOOD during his childhood.
All children under the age of accountability are not accountable for their sins.
We know for certain that Jesus did NOT sin during the days of his ministry)
2 Samuel 7:15. But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you.
2 Samuel 7:16. And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you: your throne shall be established forever.
2 Samuel 7:17. According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
2 Samuel 7:18. Then king David went in, (Speaking of in the VISION) and sat before the LORD, (Yahweh) and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? (Or who, I, my Lord, Yahweh. Or Yahweh who is he that is your Lord speaking PROPHETICALLY) and what is my house, that You have brought me hitherto? (David is asking Yahweh what this vision means, as in, why. Yahweh, am I being compared to my Lord who will be with You in the future?)
2 Samuel 7:19. And THIS (Speaking of the yet future of making a human being Lord) was yet a small thing in Your sight, O Lord GOD; (My Lord, Yahweh. The word God is the four Hebrew letters YHWH.
So, this phrase could read as THIS my Lord was yet a small thing in your eye Yahweh) but You have SPOKEN also in Your servant’s house for a great while TO COME. And is THIS the manner of man, O Lord GOD? (Or And THIS succession of MAN [To be made] my Lord, Yahweh [Is also for a great while to come. The Hebrew word translated as “manner” means custom and its root meaning is SUCCESSION)
2 Samuel 7:20. And what can David say more unto You? For You, Lord GOD, know Your (ALEPH TAV Messiah Jesus) servant.
2 Samuel 7:21. For Your word's sake, and according to Your own heart, have You done (ALEPH TAV Messiah Jesus) all these great things, to make (ALEPH TAV Messiah Jesus) Your servant know them. (Or Yahweh, You have done THIS to make You Messiah Jesus Your servant known to them. Now read my own paraphrase version of verse 22 again)
2 Samuel 7:22. WHEREFORE (Or for this reason) O LORD. Until my Lord there is none in the past like You, According to all that we have heard [In the past] with our ears, none is God except You,”
And as you continue reading the context below verse 22 as prophecy you will see a prophecy prophesying to Yahweh’s yet future Messiah to read this prophecy as a PRAYER to Yahweh.
You will see that King David said to Yahweh that Yahweh REVEALS the God of Israel to him.
Remember that the name Israel means he shall RULE AS God. Let us go ahead and read 2 Samuel 7:26-29.
Again, I will translate Aleph Tav as ALEPH TAV Messiah Jesus.
2 Samuel 7:25-29.
“And now, O LORD God, the word that You have spoken concerning Your servant, (The LITERAL translation reads “And now Yahweh, ELOHIM the word which You spoke ON your servant.” In other words, in the beginning, was the word and the word was TOWARD God and ELOHIM was the word spoken by Yahweh ON His Servant, Messiah Jesus to be MADE Lord and God of the whole earth during the world yet to come) and concerning his house, establish it forever, and do as thou hast said.
2 Samuel 7:26. And let Your NAME be magnified (Or and he shall be magnified NAME of You) forever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God over Israel: (Or the SAYING shall be Yahweh of the host, Elohim over Israel. Meaning Yahweh over the host in Heaven and Messiah Jesus God over Israel. To THIS END was Messiah Jesus BORN)) and let the house of Your servant David be established before You. (NOT King David, but rather, Your servant Messiah Jesus be established before You.
The LITERAL reads he shall become established to face of You.
Meaning that Jesus is exalted to be seated at the right hand of Yahweh’s side on Yahweh’s throne.
Never before Jesus did Yahweh share His glory to such a degree.
Nor will Yahweh ever do it again because there will be no need.
Jesus is the FIRST and the LAST to be exalted to such a high position as second in command to only have Yahweh Himself above him)
2 Samuel 7:27. For You, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, have revealed to your servant, (Or You Yahweh have REVEALED God of Israel Your servant to [me] Your servant [King David]) saying, I will build you a house: THEREFORE, have Your servant found in (ALEPH TAV Messiah Jesus) his HEART to PRAY this prayer unto You.
2 Samuel 7:28. And now, (Or and at THAT TIME) O Lord (My Lord) GOD, (My Lord, Yahweh) You are THAT God (That ELOHIM) and Your words be true, and You have promised (ALEPH TAV Messiah Jesus) this goodness unto Your servant: (Or You have promised this goodness unto (ALEPH TAV Messiah Jesus) Your servant)
2 Samuel 7:29. THEREFORE now let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you: for you, O Lord GOD, has spoken it: and with your blessing let the house of your servant be blessed forever.”
So, when we read Acts 20:28 in the LIGHT of Jesus being the FULFILLMENT of PROPHECY we can see that the BLOOD of the LAMB is Yahweh’s OWN WORKMANSHIP.
But at the same time, the MAN approved by God laid down his OWN LIFE of his OWN free will. And because of the WILLING obedience of the Son of MAN, Jesus, his God and Father MADE him Lord and God to rule FOR Yahweh in the world yet to come for 1000 years.
There are so many verses of Scripture that contradict both “INTERPRETATION #1.” and “INTERPRETATION #2.” the Oneness interpretation and the Trinitarian interpretation.

Now, some Christians are HONESTLY seeking the TRUTH of the whole word of Almighty God, but they are still STRUGGLING with what they have been taught by the doctrine of Oneness, the doctrine of the Trinity.
And they still struggle with the doctrine of the Deity of Jesus during the days of his FLESH having TWO natures at the SAME time, one divine, and one human.
All three doctrines dogmatically DEMAND that if you do NOT believe that DEITY became flesh and that DEITY shed his blood, and that DEITY laid down his life on the cross for your sins, then you are NOT saved and you will REMAIN DEAD in your sins until you believe and confess that God Himself died on the cross.
And thus, these honest sincere Christians are living in FEAR of that if they do NOT believe that Jesus is Almighty God HIMSELF in the flesh, then they are not TRULY saved.
In other words, they FEAR that if they believe that Jesus was TRULY and FULLY HUMAN without having ANY divine nature of his OWN during the days of his FLESH, then they would NOT be SAVED.
Now, they may SAY that they believe that Jesus was truly and fully a man, but at the same time, they will say that Jesus was ALSO fully DEITY at the SAME time during the days of his flesh.
And I believe that the reason for their FEAR to believe that Jesus BECAME Deity AFTER the cross, is due to their being “indoctrinated” with only ONE side of God’s word.
What I mean by this is that Yahweh BECOMES everything that He Himself creates but gnosticism teaches that God can NOT CEASE being God.
And thus, to pagan gnosticism “everything” is God. But the truth of the matter is that God is the SOURCE of all creation and everything created came OUT FROM God.
However, that does NOT mean that every created thing IS God Himself.

But for now, please read 2 Corinthians 5:15-21, which clearly teaches us that the Apostles of Jesus believed that he has ONE NATURE at a TIME and that his FIRST NATURE was FLESH.
And then after God CROWNED His HUMAN Son with glory to RECEIVE POWER, then they knew Jesus no MORE after the flesh.
And NOW they know Jesus as having been GIVEN the FULLNESS of DEITY to be DWELLING in him.
2 Corinthians 5:15-21.
“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
2 Corinthians 5:16. Wherefore, HENCEFORTH (Or from now on) know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, (Before the RESURRECTION) yet now (AFTER the resurrection) HENCEFORTH know we him no more. (Meaning that we no LONGER know Jesus as a MORTAL human being, but NOW we know Jesus as the first HUMAN to be made a PARTAKER of the DIVINE NATURE, according to 2 Peter 1:4)
2 Corinthians 5:17. THEREFORE, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (In other words, know and understand that we have been made JOINT-HEIRS WITH Jesus and that the SAME GLORY the God gave to Jesus, our Lord and Savior with give to us, according to John 17:22-26)
2 Corinthians 5:18. And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2 Corinthians 5:19. To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:20. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be you reconciled to God. (Or as AMBASSADORS FOR Yahweh’s Messiah, we pray for the lost to be reconciled to Almighty God the Father)
2 Corinthians 5:21. For He has made him (The HUMAN Son of Yahweh) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
Speaking of the NOW GLORIED human Son of God whom Yahweh MADE both Lord and Christ after the cross and resurrection, according to Acts 2:36.
Also, Colossians 1:15 CLEARLY teaches us that Jesus is the IMAGE OF the invisible God the FIRSTBORN of EVERY CREATURE.
Colossians 1:15.
“Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every CREATURE:”
And a CREATURE is a CREATED being, which proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that Jesus is NOT God Himself.
But rather, Jesus is the visible IMAGE OF God the invisible God.
And now, WE are being conformed into the image OF Jesus, but that does not MAKE us to BE Jesus himself.
Now if you read the context of Colossians 1:15 and compare Scripture with Scripture you will see that Jesus BECAME the IMAGE OF God AFTER the cross by becoming the FIRSTBORN from the DEAD.
Colossians 1:18,19.
“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Colossians 1:19. For it PLEASED the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;”
That is WHEN all the FULLNESS of the Godhead BEGAN to dwell in Jesus BODILY.
It was AFTER the Son of MAN, Jesus, was glorified and given the divine nature of immortality BEACUSE he was the Son of MAN.

Now, before the resurrection, from the baptism of Jesus to the cross, God ANOINTED the Son of MAN with a PORTION of His Holy Spirit.
And then AFTER Jesus became obedient even unto death on the cross, the God of Jesus HIGHLY EXALTED him and gave him a NEW NAME that is HIGHER than any other name, according to Philippians 2:6-11.
Hence, the Son of MAN OBTAINED or inherited a more excellent NAME than the angels, according to Hebrews 1:4-6, 1 Peter 3:22, and many other passages of Scripture.
Let us COMPARE Scripture with so you can see WHEN Jesus BECAME the IMAGE OF the invisible God. Oneness Christians will argue that Yahweh Himself manifested Himself as the IMAGE of God at the virgin birth.
Trinitarian Christians will argue that God the Son, the second person of a Godhead Trinity God, incarnated himself as the invisible image of God at the virgin birth.
And Oneness Pentecostal Christians will argue that Almighty God manifested HIMSELF to become flesh.
But what does that Bible itself teach us in SIMPLICITY without any interpretation needed?
Please read Hebrews 1:1-6 which clearly teaches us that Jesus OBTAINED a more excellent NAME than the angel by INHERITING that name after the cross.
That is WHEN the Son of MAN, Jesus, became the express image of God’s person.
Hebrews 1:1-6.
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hebrews 1:2. Has in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, (So then, in the Old Testament God spoke to man through His prophets and by the angels.
But now, in these last days, God has spoken to us through His HUMAN Son.
This means that all the so-called appearances of the pre-existing Son of God in the Old Testament would CONTRADICT this verse, if so be that they were true.
Keep in mind that all those theophanies are INTERPRETATIONS of men.
So, where in the Old Testament does it STATE that the Son of God appeared to anyone?
God only started to speak to man by His Son AFTER the Virgin Birth, or more precisely, AFTER the baptism of Jesus when God anointed the Son of MAN and sent him to the world) whom He has appointed HEIR of all things, by whom also He made the worlds; (The word “by” here also means FOR and for the sake of.
So then, by the context, Almighty God Himself MADE the worlds or made the AGES, this present AGE and the AGE to come, FOR and FOR the SAKE OF Jesus to INHERIT.
And we are JOINT-HEIRS with Jesus, but God anointed or ordained him ABOVE all his fellows or brothers and sisters, according to Hebrews 1:8,9.
Jesus is God’s King of kings, according to Psalm 12:6-12. And WE will become kings after we overcome.
But Jesus is our King over us even know in this present world, and Yahweh is THE King over Jesus.
For you see, the Son of MAN, Jesus, was highly exalted to become God's King second only to Yahweh himself. Jesus INHERITED all things by BECOMING God's eternal divine Son AFTER the cross)
Hebrews 1:3. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, WHEN he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Hebrews 1:4. Being MADE so much BETTER than the angels, as he has BY inheritance OBTAINED a MORE EXCELLENT name than they. (In other words, it was prophesied that Jesus would obtain a more excellent name than the angels as his INHERITANCE)
Hebrews 1:5. For unto which of the angels said He at any time, You are My Son, THIS DAY have I begotten you? And again, I WILL BE to him a Father, and HE SHALL be to Me a Son?
Hebrews 1:6. And again (Speaking of the second coming of Jesus), when He brings in the FIRST BEGOTTEN into the world, He says, And let all the angels of God worship him.”
Jesus is called the FIRST begotten Son of God and right NOW Jesus is the ONLY begotten Son of God.
But AT the coming of Jesus there will be MANY begotten sons and daughters of God.
Also, please notice that this verse says I WILL BE to him a Father and he SHALL BE to me a Son, which clearly and plainly teaches us that Psalm 2 is a prophecy of a future day, as THE day in the time of WHEN Jesus SHALL BECOME the SON OF God and Yahweh SHALL BECOME his Father.
And that day was fulfilled at the cross WHEN God raised Jesus again from the DEAD.
Therefore, to me, it is a definite contradiction to God's word to dogmatically demand that the SON OF God has ALWAYS existed or even that the SON OF God was begotten of God in eternity past BEFORE God created the world and mankind.
You see dear children of God it makes NO sense for God to PROPHESY of His yet COMING SON, if so be, His Son ALREADY pre-existed WITH Him at His SIDE in eternity past, as some claim.
Also, the FIRST BEGOTTEN here does NOT mean that Jesus was the first begotten of every creature BEFORE the creation of the world.
It does NOT mean that God brought His first-begotten Son that was begotten in the eternity past into the world to be born of the Virgin Mary, as God's DIVINE ETERNAL Son, having TWO natures at the SAME time.
For you see, that interpretation of the Son being begotten in the eternity past leaves NO place for the Scripture to be fulfilled where Jesus was made a little LOWER than the angels BEFORE the Son of MAN was highly exalted and given the right to INHERIT the world to come after being BEGOTTEN from the DEAD.
In other words, the phrase “THIS DAY have I BEGOTTEN you” is a PROPHECY of the human Son of God being BEGOTTEN from the DEAD to bever die again.
Please read Hebrews 2:3-14.
“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
Hebrews 2:4. God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
Hebrews 2:5. For unto the angels has he NOT put in subjection the world TO COME, whereof we speak. (In other words, Jesus will not yet ruling as Lord, King, and God over the WHOLE earth, UNTIL God FULFILLS the prophecy in Isaiah 9:6,7 to lay the GOVERNMENT upon his shoulders.
For you see, it is then that EVERY knew will bow at the NAME given to Jesus, and EVERY tongue will confess the Jesus is Lord to the GLORY of Almighty God the Father, according to Philippians 2:6-11 and Hebrews 1:6)
Hebrews 2:6. But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is MAN, that you are mindful of him? Or the son of MAN, that you visit him?
Hebrews 2:7. You made him (Jesus, and all of man or mankind) a little LOWER than the angels; (Speaking of the days of his FLESH) You CROWNED him with glory and honor, and did SET him over the works of Your hands:(Speaking of AFTER Jesus OVERCAME even to suffer and die on the cross a cruel DEATH for our sins)
Hebrews 2:8. You have put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now, we see NOT YET all things put under him.
Hebrews 2:9. But WE (The Apostles and disciples of Jesus who were eyewitnesses said WE) see Jesus, who was made a little LOWER than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. (To me, this agrees with Philippians 2:6,7 where the HUMAN Son of God BEGAN being in the FORM of God.
In other words, even after the God of Jesus GLORIFIED His human Son and GAVE him all power and authority, Jesus did not even THINK to grasp at equality with God like Lucifer did during the PREVIOUS AGE of the earth)
Hebrews 2:10. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing MANY SONS unto GLORY, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. (Jesus is the CAPTAIN of our salvation, the FIRSTBORN of every creature, the FIRSTBORN from the DEAD, that he might become the FIRST fruit of MANY brethren or MANY sons of God)
Hebrews 2:11. For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of ONE: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them BRETHREN,
Hebrews 2:12. Saying, I will declare your name unto MY BRETHREN, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto you. (Jesus is our fellow BROTHER who became the FIRST faithful WITNESS to become the BEGINNING of the NEW creation of God, the first born from the dead of MANY BRETHREN)
Hebrews 2:13. And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God has given me.
Hebrews 2:14. For as much then AS the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he ALSO HIMSELF LIKEWISE took part of the SAME; that (Or so that) through DEATH he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;”
So then, clearly the Bible itself teaches us that DURING the days of his FLESH is the “when” that Jesus was made a little LOWER than the angels.
And it was only AFTER Jesus was BEGOTTEN from the DEAD that Jesus inherited a more excellent name than the angels and was made BETTER than the angels, and was given the right to JUDGE the fallen angels and rule over ALL the angels by his inheriting the worlds to come.
Therefore, to dogmatically demand that Jesus was the DIVINE ETERNAL Son of God DURING the days of his FLESH is to ALSO say that the DIVINE ETERNAL SON of God was never LOWER and inferior to the ANGELS.
No dear child of God, the DIVINE ETERNAL SON of God OBTAINED a more excellent name than the angels to INHERIT the worlds to come and the JUDGE the angels who sinned.
But Jesus, as the Son of MAN, DURING the days of his FLESH, was indeed made LOWER or inferior to the angels and it was only AFTER Jesus, the Son of MAN, overcame that God HIGHLY EXALTED him to become a God, under Yahweh, to rule for Yahweh in the worlds to come including to rule OVER the angels and ALL belongs to Yahweh.
So, to say that Jesus was fully the divine Yahweh DURING the DAYS of his FLESH is to deny Hebrews 2:3-14, which teaches us that God made Jesus a little LOWER than the angels.
Some Christians argue that if God Himself did not die for our sins, then we are not saved because no MAN can die for our sins.
And when you try tell to them that the IMMORTAL God cannot die they will come back with something like, it was only the HUMAN side of Jesus that died.
So then, by that argument they are actually saying that God Himself did NOT die for their sins, because it was ONLY the HUMAN side of Jesus that died on the cross.

And after you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels.
Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become “a” Lord, “a” King, and “a” God, under and subject to his God and Father in order to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
