Bylines of National Geographic Magazine Staff

Starting with the January 2009 issue, National Geographic no longer identifies NGM staff in bylines; this information is now included in the author/photographer note for each article.

Taglines are generally used for text of one page or less. If text appears on more than one page, use a byline. Taglines on text in the feature well are preceded by a dash:

            —A. R. Williams

            —Patricia Edmonds

Initials may be used for the tagline if the same person writes more than one piece on a departments page:

            —ARW
