DIVISION OF WORDS

When breaking a word at the end of a line, follow Webster's.

For place-names and personal names, also use Webster's Geographical Dictionary and Webster's Biographical Dictionary.

Do not break a word from one column to another or from one page to another.

Avoid breaking at the end of the first line of an article or of a legend.

Avoid breaking a hyphenated compound at the end of a line except where the compounding hyphen occurs.
