D. Budget Supplements and Categorical Transfer

GCPS has received three more grant awards from both state and local agencies for $24,180 of supplemental instructional expenses. The superintendent recommends that the School Board request that the Board of Supervisors amend the FY2014 School Operating Fund from the current appropriated amount of $25,213,404 to $25,237,584 as well as reduce the Instruction category by $48,660; reduce the Transportation category by $3000; and increase the Technology category by $75,840. There is no impact on the County transfer to the Schools. We have provided further details in the attached document.
