It's been a while since I posted two in a row, but after reading all of my typos from yesterday, I had to get back on here. I was extremely tired yesterday, but I so badly wanted to write a post...that never ends well for me, luckily they were minor typos. AND, since I was on the blog, I might as well share because you all know how I love to share. So....

I came home from work to find not one, but two wonderful surprises.
I came home from work to find not one, but two wonderful surprises.
First, the rotten boards have been replaced with fresh, clean, new wooden boards. Hallelujah. Good bye ROT!

Second, on my doorstep was a bag of Japanese Irises from the architect and his wife (I still love calling them that, it's silly, I know). I love, love LOVE that we will have flowers growing here that are a gift from a family that first breathed love and life into this old farmhouse. Okay...at least I am going to TRY to grow flowers...we all know what happened to the blackberries. However, assuming a bulldozer doesn't literally take these out, I think I can take these beauties on.

Forgive me for being such a sappy soul...but I love how this house has connected me with so many people, even in little ways. I have flowers from a family that lived here 20 years ago, we have people stopping by all the time to share how they are connected to the house in some way, friends have loaned me tools, other friends have offered to tinker with hinges or paint cabinets....being the social butterfly that I am, the whole experience fills me with such joy.

I almost forgot!! Bill planted grass seed just a few days ago and look!!! All that has grown. Can you believe it? Nature is so magical.
