So that was long...

Whew...I bet you thought I was swallowed by the Firkin. Nope. Just working and doing all the mom things. Sorry it's been so long. I sincerely wish I had more time to work on the house AND write. How long until next summer???

So, the boys' bathroom is really coming along. I still have to paint two of the walls, but the vanity and toilet are installed and working! So that means we are now a TWO bathroom home! This is a game changer.

I kind of feel bad posting this picture of Bill...but when I asked him to pose to give some perspective as to how low the ceilings are in this part of the house...he CHOSE to do this. Soooo....yeah. That's my guy. Calm down ladies, he's ALL mine and I will fight for him. (And for those of you who have had his salsa, you know why.)

Cool little note - this is one of the doors Bill and Liam found in the barn and power washed over the summer.

Our contractor had to cut it all sorts of crooked to make it fit...but I love that it's not a door from Home Depot.

Formerly known as the "hallway of horrors," we now have a BEAUTIFUL surface to paint...and we might even have a color chosen...but that's a surprise I will save for later. The drywall guys did an amazing job smoothing out this hallway and keeping the plaster walls in tact....it was pretty messy...but, I'll take it in trade for that smooth surface.

And even though I don't have a lot of pictures, every hole that was cut over the summer (ceiling, wall, you name it) has been professionally fixed up.

Now all it needs is a professional paint job - as in Britt's Professional Paint Service.

The kitchen ceiling this summer.

The kitchen ceiling today.

First snow on the Firkin's front lawn.

I counted 6 deer when I took this picture. Austin begged to be let out. Sadly, he was denied.

The moon on a mostly frozen pond...yes, that's the moon!
