While I was taking Finn to an appointment today, Bill opened and emptied the fridge! And just LOOK at how full it was. -_- Ew. Ew. Ew.

RediWhip? Eggs? And the meat in freezer was a "putrid liquid" - Bill's words. I was ready to wrap that fridge up with duct tape, stick it behind the garage and save it for town dump day next year. But not my Bill. As I said, he's a better person than me. Speaking of better people - who does this? I get that the last family that owned this house lost it to the bank...but to leave it like this? And then the bank who owned it for how many years and was showing it to potential buyers? I mean...aren't we BETTER THAN THAT?

In other news, the last tree made her way down and we finally have a yard. Again, Cassidy's crew was amazing. Professional right up to raking the last leaves on lawn.

We found this near the outhouse. I believe the architect's wife had beautiful gardens and this little guy must have been in there.

I am generally not one to impulse shop or spend frivolously...but this patio set was on sale and I just knew it would look perfect RIGHT HERE. So. I bought it. We also bought ALL of our appliances today...so what's another couple of bucks...? Gulp. The sieve is open....

Funny story. These guys, McCauley electrical, started work yesterday. They were super nice - I was particularly impressed when they asked if I had a spray bottle I could fill with a bleach/water solution so they could start killing some of the mold WHILE they give us POWER. Turns out the owner, while conversing with my husband, put together that I work with his girlfriend and she's been reading the blog! Small world. Needless to say, if you need electric work, call these guys!
