For instance, I planted the irises down by the pond this afternoon. The ones that were transplanted from the architect's garden and so kindly delivered to my house by a mutual friend that I know from being on the town library board. This is what I mean about connections. I love how the Butter Firkin has brought me to people I would have otherwise not known. I love how it has sparked up conversations with people and visits. And I love how you can have flowers that started in one garden, continue on in another.
