I may have mentioned yesterday how the visit with plumber didn't go so well. I thought you might like to know how I am doing all this cleaning without running water. Well - this is how. I fill a cooler up at my mom's house and refill the buckets from the back of my truck.

As it turns out hot water and bleach and mold aren't great for breathing, even with the N-95 masks, so the room temperature water is working out just fine. The mold just wipes away like buttah. Not really, but I thought for a second there I'd leave you with that nice image.

Sorry about all the CAPS, but I really want to emphasize that no one can ever tell my nine year old that I cleaned unidentified paw prints off his soon to be bedroom wall. Are we all clear on this? Great, moving on.

Current oven situation...we have to pull those out and clean behind them before the new ones can be installed...I am not excited about the cleaning part. But I am happy to report there are TWO, so I will continue to have double ovens and my baking will continue to flourish, I am sure.

So...this wall. I've been doing a decent job with the gauging and spackling, as per my contractor...but this hall was so moist that the paint just comes of in chunks. I don't know what I'm doing and I'm nervous I'm ruining it. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

This is Finn's bedroom closet. It was BLACK inside. BLACK. It took a solid 2 days to, in the words of Finn, 'conquer' this bad boy.

A cool thing - The boys' bedrooms have 'holes' - technically they are vents, but naturally the actual vents were stolen, so now the boys have these gaping holes in their rooms. Bill ordered vents. They arrived and are lovely.

And sometimes, to feel normal, I need to bake. I was too tired to do anything fancy. I just grabbed a cake mix box and whipped up cupcakes while watching the end of Stranger Things (Season 3 - do yourself a favor and just watch, so much fun).
