Today is my son Finn's 10th birthday. We celebrated at the Butter Firkin with friends yesterday. Our fountain is up and running and the kids had a blast swimming and kayaking around it. This was our first official celebration at the new house and even though a thunderstorm swooped in, it was great to have some friends over and celebrate our boy turning double digits.
In other news, here are some things we've done in the last few days...
Turns out insurance companies don't like exposed electricity.
Bill went ahead and installed all the outdoor lighting.
We chose vintage Edison bulbs for the front of the house. Cuz we're cool like that.
We bought this tool in an attempt to clear out some tub drains. Bill's psyched. More tools - yay!
I said, "Do you want to read the directions?" He just laughed. I laughed when I actually looked at the instruction booklet.
Why so serious, kitty?
Facing the world.
All smiles.
I will never stop loving pictures of this cat.
It allows me to sneak pictures of Finn.
Love me, baby, love me.
I finally started priming the kitchen cabinets. Not gonna lie - this is not fun. BUT, the sooner it's done, the sooner I can unpack dishes and use the dang kitchen.
Oh, did I confuse you? Did you think we might have moved in? Sorry, no. I'm just so ready to be in here...so so ready. I'll be in here before I have stove, I can tell you that.
LOTS of things should be happening this week...fingers crossed that I didn't just jinx the whole thing.
