Enliven the Kuching identity and strengthen the social relation. The big idea of the masterplan of this urban village is to emphasize on the ideology of livelihood of the old Malay Kampung and its environment. The site is located strategically at three kampungs, which are Kampung Sinjan, Kampung Tupong Batu and Kampung Tanjung. As the culture of old Malay village has long lost and disregard, the new proposed masterplan applies a lot of community integrated spaces and intensify it with greeneries. For instance, the urban forest, the promenade, community garden and the urban park that circulates throughout the sites. The existence of Sarawak River as context which has endless potential has also been fully utilize in the design. The concept of the apartment is lucid where its focused more on cater the resident’s comfort and essential needs.
