Students are to study in detail the space planning and design elements of the building/ linkages, discuss the interesting features of this development and demonstrate the understanding of architectural elements, environmental factors or the existing site context that contribute to the success/failure of the design.
Implementing the arrangement of fisherman village (random arrangement) and is contrast with shop lots nearby. Besides, it also helps to bring back the feeling of old Blacksmith street, reminiscing the good old days and is quite synchronised with the activities happened to the site. (educational hub / workshops purpose) (knowledge about scrap metals, recycling, etc.) The usage of the refurbished shipping containers (based on the sustainability and reuse of materials) are somehow the only way cross – border trade happens especially in the case of waterways.
The Virtuporium, is a catalyst for the instigation and exchange of ideas and for new technologies and media to be exploded. It helps to create a variety of public spaces within the building, enable this building to present the widest diversity of exhibitions and events that feed the cultural vitality of the site in future.
