This garment was inspired by abstracted forms of a type of mineral that can only be found in Sarawak, which is named ‘’Sarabauite’’. Triangles are formed together to form the overall structure of this garment, giving strength to the body wear. This garment is equipped with two modes of protection from Covid-19, which comes with a social distancing shoulder pad and face mask. While protecting myself against the deadly virus, I could wear this garment with comfort and style.
The Hidden Gem is a brand-new pop-up fashion store located in India Street, Kuching. It was inspired by the garment’s concept, a mineral called ‘Sarabauite’ that can only be found in Sarawak. The kiosk can be installed easily and it can be dismantled into smaller parts. The frame is made up of steel beams shaped into triangular shapes. Opaque, translucent and transparent materials are used as the skin to promote unity. This kiosk is spacious enough to fit up to four customers at a time.
This bus top is designed where community and nature are blended in together that serves the people of Kuching. ‘Midin’ vegetable is adapted as the design concept due to its unique curly shape on its ends and its popularity among the locals. By incorporating its earthy elements into this bus stop, people from different backgrounds will be able to form a connection with nature. This will create a very comforting environment for the users of ‘Serenity’.
