The precedent study is based on a riverside/ boardwalk activity at an urban area in Malaysia or overseas. Students are to study in detail the space planning and design elements of the building/ linkages, discuss the interesting features of this development and demonstrate the understanding of architectural elements, environmental factors or the existing site context that contribute to the success/failure of the design.
Urban weaving concept is meant to provide a collaborative environment to connect people by weaving the public area with different zones into the commercial area. The town square weave the culture of the area where the fishermen used nets and bubu as part of their job, kampung people from the opposite side practices weaving technque as part of their economy income.
Pedestrian seeking pleasure can experience different programs for play, eat and rest while people seeking opportunities can see the town square as an open platform for experimentation, collaboration and exhibition or even as a place where they can gain income
Connexion is a digital sport center that intended to close the gap between the older and the younger generation. This digital sport consists of modern and conventional sports that could help both generation, by having interaction within each other.
The proposal aims at resuming sports activities for all generations of the public despite the pandemic situation and to close generation gap by creating spaces that could stimulate interaction for both generation through digital world.
The idea of closing the gap between those two generations is explored further by providing virtual and physical gaming spaces which can provide chances to both generation to reconnect and have interaction with each other, while open spaces could contribute to prevent covid-19 from spreading quickly.
