The idea of the fashion garment was from the culture of Sarawak, from the nature, food and handicraft with similar element, lines. It was clearly from famous bird of Sarawak, ‘Burung Kenyalang’, the food, ‘Kek Lapis Sarawak’, and the Sarawak Handicraft Basket. The hood itself became the Burung Kenyalang with tail behind. The layers of the body were from the Kek Lapis Sarawak and the weaving at the back were from the basket. The tie of ropes between the layers of lines indicates the structure and the relationship on all layers of the variety community are strong and harmony. This garment is sleeveless to represent the natives sleeveless traditional garment especially the Dayaks.
The idea of the pop-up store was from the garment from the last project. The main concept is from smooth line when I present it, where it contain the element of Burung Kenyalang, Kek Lapis Sarawak, and Orang Ulu’s Handicraft (basket). The sharp roof represent the Burung Kenyalang’s horn and the layers represent the basket. The walls represent wings of the hornbill and the lines was from the Kek Lapis Sarawak. The walls also have the space between it to gave a hint people outside towards inside the kiosk except the fitting where it has the second wall for the privacy of the costumers. The kiosk itself does not need the protection roof from the sun or rain because the location of the placement of the kiosk is below the canopy of the Jalan Masjid India.
The idea was from the nature, a flower, Bunga Tasbih, that has become a symbol towards the Majlis Bandaraya Kuching Selatan (MBKS). The petals from the flower became the roof of glass that the stem of the flower became the structure of the bus stop. Moreover, the roof are not in straight position, it has a little angle towards it’s centre, at the middle, become a water collector in the middle of the steel structure. It has a well to collect the water and provide water to a little garden around it, the plant will the Bunga Tasbih itself where it can be a nature wall to protect users from rain, and 1 single panel of glass that contain bus route schedule install beside the seating area to protect user from splash of the water fall to the water collector.
